What's the difference between gossip and scandal? So glad you asked, UES Forever. Anyone can commit a minor indiscretion and generate a day's worth of buzz. But in order for gossip to birth a true scandal it requires the right person to be in the wrong place. Take one 'it' girl on a pedestal, add a crowd eager to see her fall and give them the means to knock her down.

IT WAS EVIDENT to see the distance between twins, especially when all they had ever done in their life was spending time together and do things together. The only thing in which Dan and Victoria didn't have in common were their hobbies, where one liked to write and the other liked to paint to express their feelings. When their week had commenced where one left before the other, and one came home without the other as per usual, Rufus Humphrey identified a tension between his two eldest. He watched it over dinner on how civilised they had chosen to be, so if one asked for something to be passed down the table the other would do it, but their conversation at night didn't happen and there was no playful bickering. A week of watching it happen had caused for Rufus to think it was due time to ask his children about it as soon as he had caught them alone.
Victoria wasn't too comforted with the sight of her brother at the kitchen counter whilst her father stood behind it as usual. She searched for the young blonde, her sister, who had been occupied within the comfort of her room. If Jenny was there it would've made the tension disappear ever so slightly as Victoria settled into the stool that was the furthest away from her brother, and there was only three in total, meaning one stool kept them apart.
Rufus' eyes flickered between the twins, noticing how their eyes avoided each other and how it seemed that their interest was far focused on the food he had cooked for them that morning. The man had cleared his throat, feeling as though the silence between them needed to be filled and not just by a normal discussion but with questioning of what happened between the both of them.
When his throat had cleared silence had remained, and he had thought he was going to be the one who'd have to break it. His eyes rolled and he tutted at the teens. "What is going on with the both of you?" Victoria's eyes lifted from her plate and her brows raised at her father due to the question he had asked with such eagerness. "Don't think I haven't noticed how distant the two of you have been from each other."
Victoria had chosen to furrow her brows in a daze, pretending to be completely unaware of what her father spoke about. "I don't know what you're talking about."
Rufus snorted. "I am your father. I can tell when something is wrong." Victoria's innocence had faded and she had only formed a solemn look. "So, what's going on?"
