gone with the will

When most people lose a parent they inherit sorrow, loss and a closet full of outdated clothes. But on the Upper East Side, death's sad chapter comes with a silver lining. Or a gold one, if your relatives invested wisely in precious metals.

THE ABSENCE OF Rufus Humphrey was felt once more. He didn't make breakfast for his children because he had chosen to take a trip to Boston with Lily Bass. Victoria knew what the pretences of the trip was and as did Dan, but Jenny had thoughts flooding her mind on what could be happening on this spontaneous trip. The young blonde wouldn't even think of the chances that Lily and Rufus ventured to a different state for the purpose of looking for their child that was birthed 19 years ago. Well, if Jenny had been told it'd be difficult for her head to be wrapped around the idea of it. Victoria still couldn't comprehend all of what Chuck Bass had told a couple days ago.

Victoria knew that Rufus' intention to going to Boston with Lily was for the sake of finding their son that was given up for adoption. However, there was a thought that Victoria possessed. What if this trip rekindled what Lily and Rufus once had in the past? For her, she knew that there was something not forgotten about that past. Feelings were felt to be still there. All of what she thought were thoughts she kept to herself knowing Dan couldn't stomach the idea of it. Because? Well, because of the fact he wanted to be with Serena, and he felt like it was the right time to spark their relationship again.

With the absence of Rufus Humphrey, the three teens relied on each other's company. Oh, and Dan felt the need to be in charge even though he wasn't exactly the oldest. Victoria stood at the kitchen counter, she was exchanging texts with Nate who had gone to the will reading of Bart Bass in support of Chuck ( the boy had finally managed to collect himself together ).

"Hey," The silence radiating through the Humphrey loft had been broken as Dan emerged from his room and knocked on the door of his little sister's room. "let's go." He ordered.

Jenny grabbed her belongings as Victoria settled her phone down and swung her jacket onto her back. "Ok, wait." Dan had been putting in his earphones, listening to music had helped him neglect from telling the truth about Rufus and Lily. As for Victoria? Well, she simply bit down on her tongue. Oh, teeth marks were noticed. "Come on, admit it — Dad and Lily are totally hooking up on this trip to Boston."

Dan grimaced immediately at the thought. "No! Lily. . .Lily just lost her husband, and Dad is getting her out of town so he can clear her head."
