Chapter 20

I was behind the task force. Everyone looked panicked as the screen read "All Data Deleted".

The whole room fell silent. "I told Watari to delete all the data if something were to happen to him." L said calmly. There was nothing but chaos moments later. A loud beeping noise filled the room.

L shouted over everyone's voices. "Everyone, the shiniga-"

I froze as he stopped in the middle of his sentence. I watched in horror as he fell out of his chair and hit the ground. I tried to run to him but I was chained to the wall. Light grabbed L as he slowly closed his eyes.

I broke down into tears, understanding what happened as he took his final breath.
