I was eating wings when Jamie played the instrumental of Peep's song Kisses In The Wind.
"Sing the song." "What song?" "You know what I'm talking about don't stall Stephanie. I'm gonna restart this beat and you're gonna rap your version."
I looked at her and she restarted the beat. Emily and Emery looked up at me from their phones.
"It's not done." "Do it." "Ugh. Fine. Restart it again."
She did it and I put my chicken down. Once the beat started, I started rapping.

Jamie stopped the beat and I started eating my chicken again. Then I heard Gus's voice.
"I like your version." "You weren't supposed to hear that." "Don't act like that." "I'm not acting like anything. I'm just eating my chicken." "Hey, I had some so now you can't say I haven't eaten any." "You ate it too late." "You're still mad?" "Yup." "You just beat me up. I thought we were over this."
Emery and Emily started trying not to laugh. I guess they heard us earlier.
"Gus, what's her name?" "I wasn't with a girl." "Yes you were." "Oh my God."
Emily said,"Guys! Really?"
I said,"Because he was with a girl and I just wanna know who she is." "Stop thinking he was with a girl. Forget what the hell he said earlier."
She then turned to him and said,"And you, hug her."
He did what she said and I rolled my eyes playfully.
Emily then said,"Now Gus, tell her the truth and nothing but the truth." "I have." "Do it again."
He pulled back from our hug and looked me in the eyes.
"Baby, I would never do anything to hurt you and I definitely wouldn't just go cheat on purpose. I wasn't with a girl and I mean that when I say it."
I sighed and rolled my eyes playfully.
"Fine. I forgive you for coming home late."
Emily said,"And." "And, I don't think you were with a girl."
Emery said,"And."
I rolled my eyes and shook my head while looking up. I then looked at Gus again.
"And I'm sorry for beating you up."
Emily and Emery both were about to start laughing but they immediately stopped and looked serious again.
Bexey said,"Your turn Gus."
Gus said,"I'm sorry that I got home late and it might not happen again."
I squinted my eyes at him and everyone else groaned behind us.
"What do you mean might?" "I mean might because what happened wasn't my fault. The car stopped on me and my phone died so I literally couldn't call you and tell you that." "So it is your fault because if you had of filled the gas tank and had your phone charged before going out then that all wouldn't have happened." "But I wasn't really paying attention to the fucking gas tank cause usually I have fucking gas and I don't know why the hell you always-." "No. Why the hell do you always. I never did anything and it's all your fault that you came home late because you were with some girl!" "Oh my God! I thought we were fucking past this shit!" "Well we're not!"
I looked at Bexey and seen he was pouring a shot of liquor.
"Give me one of those Bexey." "No. I'm getting this because you guys are stressing me the fuck out. Just make the fuck up already. Stephanie you KNOW Gus wasn't out with a girl. I can tell that he's not hiding anything. I can tell when he's being a liar and I know that you know that he's not lying because I can read your face. You're testing him to see if he'll break but he has nothing to break for. And Gus, stop saying dumb shit. Okay?"
Gus said,"But I didn't-."
Emily and Emery smacked their lips then looked at each other and just started laughing.
Emery then said,"Take this ass whoopin like a man Gus!"
They started laughing harder and I looked towards them.
Emily was like,"I already told you the truth and nothing but the truth."
They started laughing harder and Emery started slapping her knee. She then leaned too far frontward in her chair and she fell straight on the floor with a thump. Emily only started laughing harder and I looked at Bexey.
"What is wrong with them?" "I don't know."
I looked again and Emery was still on the floor.
Emery yelled,"Goth!!! Goth!! Come here! I just fucking fell and you didn't even catch me."
She started laughing again and Emily looked at me.
"I just got that on tape."
I put my hand to my mouth and then I started laughing too.
Emery got up and looked at Emily.
"Delete it." "Can't."
Emery got on the table and almost got Emily's phone but Emily leaned back and the chair ended up falling back. I started laughing even harder and Bexey started laughing too.
Bexey then said,"That's what you get for recording people." "You shut up." "No."
Emily got up and stood next to Bexey. He stood all the way up from leaning on the counter top and Emily backed up.
"Fine. I quit." "Exactly."
Emily said,"Well.....you guys think you're so cool because you're tall. Let's get high and play hide and seek in the woods and see who wins. Freakishly tall ass guys vs.-"
Emery said,"Vs. the shorties." "What? No. I was gonna say-." "The short ones." "No! The whole point is for our name to be better than the bad one we gave against their height." "Oh.."
I started laughing again and just looked at them. Gus then got up and went out the front door.
Bexey said,"Go and get him Stephanie. We're playing this high hide and seek and the 'freakishly tall ass guys' are going to win."
He was staring Emily down while talking and Emery started doing a happy dance. I smiled and went out the front door. Closing the door behind me, I seen Gus was sitting on the porch, staring at the street. I sat next to him and put my head on his shoulder.
"Baby. Bexey was right. I don't believe you were with a girl. And I really am sorry for beating you up."
He chuckled and I smiled.
I said lightly,"I thought you were mad at me." "Never."
I looked at him and he kissed me. I kissed him back a little harder. Once he pulled back he moved some hair out of my face.
"Now lets go play some high hide and seek." "You're playing?" "Of course. I'm not letting you go by yourself." "Okay. I'll call B and see if he'll take Haidyn." "Okay."
I kissed him once more then went to call Boosie.
