+Stephanie's Pov+
I woke up screaming from a bad dream and I realized I was on the floor and not in bed. I looked around and also realized I was alone. I got up to unlock the bedroom door and open it then I went downstairs for some water. Once I got some I drank it while standing in the living room doorway. Everyone was in deep sleep and they all looked so peaceful. Goth was laying on the couch upright and Emery was laying on top of him. Tracy and Jamie were wrapped up in a cover together on the floor with pillows from one of the guest rooms. Bexey and Emily were snuggled up together on the floor too.
I smiled at them then went and put my cup by the sink. I went back upstairs and went to Haidyn's room. I got to it and Haidyn was sound asleep in her crib. Gus was on the floor sleeping with one of Haidyn's big, fuzzy blankets from the closet. I smiled slightly and he started moving around in his sleep so I went back out the door. I waited by it with my eyes closed hoping he wouldn't get up. When he didn't I peeked back into the room and he was asleep. I sighed slightly then went to go get my phone. I checked the time and seen it was 11:30pm. I grabbed a jacket then went outside to my car. I got in and started driving to the beach.
I knew I wasn't going to get back to sleep so I decided to just get some fresh air. Once I got to the beach I got out of the car and walked towards the water. I took my sandals off and got my feet into the water. It was cold at first but then I started getting used to it. It was dark out still and I was looking up at the stars. Before I knew it I was away from the water and just sitting in the sand. I was listening closely to the waves crashing together. It was really peaceful. I looked all around me and it was empty. I looked back towards the water and sighed. I then took my phone out and played Gus's song nothing to you. I laid down on the sand and just thought about my family and before I knew it I was asleep.
+Lil Peep's Pov+
I woke up and seen I was in Haidyn's room. I got up from the floor and looked down at Haidyn in her crib. She was sound asleep so I went to me and Stephanie's room to check on her. The door was halfway open. I went in and she was gone. I went into our bathroom and she wasn't there either.
"Shit."
I grabbed my phone and called her. She didn't answer until the 5th ring.
Stephanie: Hey baby.
Me: Where are you?
Stephanie: Um, a hello back would be nice.
Me: Stephanie why do you do this to me?
Stephanie: Do What? I didn't do anything.
Me: You know I don't want you out right now at this time of night and yet, you keep doing this to me.
Stephanie: Babe, I'm fine.
Me: No you're not fine. You're out there on your complete own and you're vulnerable. Come home. Please.
Stephanie: I just went to clear my head...I woke up from a nightmare and I didn't wanna wake you up.
Me: Stephanie..just come home. Okay?
Stephanie: Fine. I'm on my way.
She hung up on me and I sighed. I didn't mean to sound so overprotective but I just wanted her to understand that she had to stop putting herself in situations where she could get hurt. I sat on me and Stephanie's bed and waited for her to get home.
+Stephanie's Pov+
I got home and went to me and Gus's room. He was sitting on the bed waiting for me. I closed the door behind me but left it slightly open just in case Haidyn started crying.
"Stephanie, I don't mean to sound so overprotective. But I just don't want you to get hurt anymore. I've told you a thousand times that you can share your nightmares with me. I don't care if you wake me. Just...just please stop going off on your own, okay? I care about you and you know that." "I know. I just..I went to the beach because I needed a second to just breathe. I don't mean to cause any trouble. And I know that normally when I go off on my own nothing good happens but..Gus I just don't like bothering you while you're sleeping."
He stood up and put his arms around me.
"Baby." "Hm?"
I looked up at him and he looked me in the eyes.
"Wake me up next time okay? That's all I'm asking."
I nodded and he kissed my forehead.
"Now can you please try and get to sleep for me?"
I rolled my eyes and sighed dramatically.
"Ughhhh. Fine. I will try and get to sleep." "Good. Because if you get up at night again and leave this house, I will personally cuff you to the bed for the rest of the night."
He smiled at me then got into bed and underneath the covers.
"Really? Now you're just gonna go back to bed?" "Yup. And so are you."
I rolled my eyes and got into bed with Gus. He wrapped his arms around me and I started closing my eyes. Before I knew it, I was asleep.
