Aaron POV
Vidcon was fun. I'm so glad we got to see our supporters and come back to experience my culture, but I'm ready to see my babies. This is the longest that we ever been away from them, even though it's only three days. Roni and I have been calling them everyday at least twice. Andrew and Malaya have told us multiple times to stop calling. They say that the kids are fine and that they're just wired on sugar, which is definitely not good. Luckily our flight is leaving soon so I can figure out if they're really wired on sugar or they're just messing with us. Pranks are a very common thing in our family, so I wouldn't be surprised if they were just pulling my leg.
This time we leave at twelve o'clock. I try to sleep the whole time so that I'm ready for the morning since we should be getting back at like six o'clock. I know I won't be getting any sleep when we get back. We'll be bombarded by questions. Plus, I'm really tired from the whole trip so an eighteen hour nap couldn't hurt right?
We get there. This flight didn't seem as long as the one there. It's probably because I was asleep pretty much the whole time. I check the time. It's almost 7:00. I forgot we had a one hour flight delay.
"Ugh I regret wearing a full face of makeup" Roni complains.
"UgH i ReGrEt WeArInG a FuLl FaCe oF mAkEuP" I mock her "you say that every time we fly"
"Name one time I've said that when we traveled?" She says with her hands on her hips.
"When we flew down here to meet my parents"
"That doesn't count because it was so long ago" She says
"Can you believe that? We've been together for that long. Almost three years and we've been married for almost two."
"Crazy right. Speaking of being married. What do you want to do for our anniversary?" She hints.
"What ever you want to do. My only two wishes is to spend it with you and that you get me nothing."
"Come on Aaron, you never want anything. Live a little. No one minds getting you anything. You deserve it" She says
"Fine, since you said it. I'm not going to tell you what I want. You should know me well enough" I say. She rolls her eyes. We get to the Starbucks that's just opening for the day. I drag both of our bags back in the store and she orders. I know her order by heart and she definitely knows mine. We've been getting the same thing since it first date. She slides me my drink and a cheese danish as she sits down with her and a chocolate chip muffin. We can't go her with the kids anymore because they ask for everything in the display case, especially the cake pops. It's a hassle going into any store with them because they want everything. When I say everything, I mean everything. Some stuff they don't even know what it is. They'll ask what it is and what it's used for then they'll ask for it. If we brought everything they asked for our house would be filled to the brim with junk. Even with this struggle, we still love them with everything. I can't wait to see them again and neither can Roni.
We finish up at Starbucks and then we take an Uber to my mom and dad's house. It's almost nine o'clock, which is great because this is usually the time that everyone gets up. We thank the Uber, pay him, and rate him. We pull our luggage up the side walk. I still remember he day that Alex brought this. That was a good day. We ring the doorbell and mom answers it.
"You guys came just in time. I came down to brew my morning cup of coffee and the twins should be waking up in ten minutes or so. Come on in" She says and opens the door wider for us. Soon enough we hear some tiny little slow foot steps coming down the hallway. We see Vi and Vinny's little face pop around the corner. They're still sleepy so they slowly walk from around the corner up to us. They're in their cute little onesies. They finally make it up to us. Vi curls up on my lap and Vinny curls up in Roni's lap. Violet is definitely a daddy's girl and Vincent is definitely a momma's boy and it shows.
"Thank you so much for watching them" Roni thanks my mom
"No problem sweetheart. Any chance I get to see my grandkids I'll take." She says
"Look who's awake" My dad says. He comes from the back. Occasionally he'll take Pogi out for a walk so that probably where he came from. He fist bumps both Vi and Vinny. They smile a little. Mariah and Malaya eventually wake up. Andrew is the last to wake up. He must have gotten that for Alex. I tussle the hair on his head that already looks like a bird nest from sleeping. We talk for a little while. They have breakfast. Roni and I promised that we would hang out with Malaya and Andrew, so that's what we do. We let them go get dressed and then we take them out to the mall and to go play laser tag. We take them to the arcade and to get lunch and dinner. We let them get as much dessert as possible. They have so much fun. I guess they really did miss us. We make sure we get them home in a good enough time where mom and Mariah won't freak out and enough time so they feel like they're having fun staying out late. They thank us and Malaya goes to sleep for the night. We say our good nights to them.
"Your such a good brother" Roni says
"I mean what can I say" I say. I give her a good night kiss and we go to bed for the night.
