Chapter 60: Baby Shower

Today is the day of the baby shower. I'm super excited to see Kian and Nessa's reaction to it. I told her to relax for today and I'll get it all set up. That's something I say so I can get through with making it as big as it has been planned to be. Her and Kian were instructed to stay at the house all day and their only job was to get themselves and Rebel ready.

I pick up the cake and balloons as soon as I leave the house. I make sure I'm all ready by the time I need to leave out. I drop off the twins at mom and dads house. Franny and Alex help me set up. It takes us like an hour and a half but we get it all down by our selves.

Everything's all decked out in a light pink. Gold balloons that say it's a girl surround the place. It's all decorated how Nessa likes things and the cake has a K in gold letter and a V in gold letters on it. Pictures of their maternity shoot surround everywhere. On the top of the cake there's a little replica of a animated baby with a pink diaper and bow on.

We call Nessa and Kian to start getting ready to leave out as we start finishing up. The guest will be here in any minute so we want Kian and Nessa to be fashionably late.

As the guest start coming in we greet them. Once everyone sits down we start explaining all the things that we're going to do today. Then as Kian, Nessa, and Rebel walk in. Their reaction is priceless. They clearly weren't expecting this. They come up to us and give us a big hug and thank us for planning this a setting this up.

"I love you so much. Thank you for doing this and I can't believe that you went out of your way to do this after we told you not to" Nessa says while hugging me.

"You know I couldn't listen to that when it comes to my twin" I tell her. When we pull away Kian comes and rests his arm on my shoulder.

"Maybe you aren't a bad little sister after all" He teases. I smile and tell him to go have fun. I watch as they have a good time throughout the whole event. It puts a smile on my face knowing that they're excited for this baby girl to come in the world.

We go through all of the games and things and it's finally time to do what everyone has been waiting for. It had been something that was suspenseful every since Nessa announced that she was having a girl. Behind closed doors they had discussed this topic but had left everyone out on knowing it. It was even on the invite. This mystery was the name and everyone including our subscribers had been wondering what it was going to be for weeks. On the invitation to the baby shower had the mystery name reveal included. When we had the cake order, Nessa took car of the fact of hiding the name. She had the idea to tell them to leave a space hollow to leave room for a little wooden drawer with the paper with the name written on it. Everyone couldn't eat to cut into the cake for that very reason.

Kian and Nessa place their hand on the knob off the drawer on the white cake. It is outlined with gold to make look even more special. As they open cameras flash. The paper that has the name on is folded in a super small square. They unfold it and in gold glittery letters it has the name. Echo Athena Lawley. It's beautiful.

Everyone cheers as they read the name and the first piece of cake is cut. We spread the pieces of cake around and everyone digs in. Rebel looks like he's enjoying it the most.

We wrap things up and clean up the area that we used. Kian and Nessa thank us once again. They're really grateful that we did this for them.

That night when I get ready to go to sleep I FaceTime Aaron and tell him about the name and the baby shower. He tells me that he's proud of me for being able to balance the kids, the business, and planning this. All this congratulatory is making me feel really good about doing this. Once everything is stable and not so new, maybe I can open my own event planning business. I really like doing it and seeing people smile after what I've planned for them. It makes me feel great knowing that I can do that for people. It's something that will satisfy both of our needs.

Just when I'm about to go to bed Nessa comes in and wants to talk to me.

"You're the best twin sister ever" she tells me.

"Tell me more" I joke

"No, like seriously you're a huge role model to me. The fact that you can do all that you do while having kids and managing to balance what your husband has going on in life is so amazing and you manage to get through whatever life throws at you. You have accomplished so much and helped others accomplish so much that it's amazing. I was scared but happy when I found out I was pregnant. It was so reassuring to me to see that you could do it. I know that if you can, it's possible. Thank you so much for going out of your way for us to day because you really didn't have to. I'm so grateful to have an amazing sister like you. I don't know what I would do without you. I love you." She tells me.

"I love you too" I say and give her a big hug too. I don't know what I would do without her.
