Chapter 61: Pit Stop

Aaron POV
After about a week and half of filming from where we left off, it's time to back to LA. It's just going to be a week so it's like a pit stop between this location and the next. It kind of sucks being that busy all the time but I about two more months of staying where we're filming for three weeks then going home for a week, then it's over. The editing process will be in progress and maybe in a year the movie will be all edited and we'll get all the legalization stuff done and it should be out in the next three years, but that's thinking way far in the future. Right now we're still filming and I should stick to worrying about that.

We get on the flight and I have nothing better to do then to edit the little bit of footage that I have and reread my scripts. Our clog channel has been going down on content since we've been really busy. All of our channels have but as soon I'm done filming I'm going to post more constantly and help Kian, Roni, and Nessa post more. This week I am going to try to film a little bit more too.

We land in LA and Alex is there to pick me up. I told him that I could easily just get an Uber but he said it's fine because he has to come out anyway and get things.

"You're not wearing a hoodie?" I say when he picks me up.

"Yeah I had to change it up a bit. Make myself look a little bit more presentable" He fixes his collar in his polo shirt in the mirror of the car.

"You can't fool me Alex. I've known you for almost 33 years ( Alex is 33 here) I know you're trying to impress someone. Looks like Alex is going on a date." I tease

"I should've known I couldn't hide it from you. Yes I have a date." He gives up

"Who's the lucky girl?"

"Her name is Alis. She's not the typical girl I've dated. She's definitely not a Lauren. She's more on the edgy side then the diy side. It's cool to meet some one that's not on that bright sparkly high all the time. We balance each other out with that. I thought I was going to be able to slip under everyone's noses because I've had a few flings without you guys knowing, but I told Roni and she's kept it confidential but now you know."

"You can't hide much from us." I say. "I hate to damper your mood but, did Lauren ever send you that letter" I ask

"No. I guess she can't get past her pride to send it. It's not like it's going to make Adrian think that we're getting back together. It was just to let him know that there's nothing wrong with him and that's he's not the reason why she left." He complains.

"That's so wrong. It was just a simple task. Has Jermey tried?"

"Yeah, but she won't listen. I hope she knows that she has to grow up. What makes her think that she's going to lose all contact, if she's going to remarry or going to do anything that involves legal action, they're going to ask for marriage papers and kids and all that. It's just not going to work.

"Just calm down and enjoy your date. I'm sure she'll get over it" I say as he pulls into the driveway. I unbuckle my seatbelt and get out with my bags. I wave Alex off and unlock the door.

"Is that you Alex?" Nessa asks. I decide to trick her.

"Yeah" I respond.

"That doesn't sound like Alex" She says. She looks around the corner.

"Aaron, you're home!" She says and gives me hug.

"Wussup Nessa and Echo?" I say. She smiles and goes back to cutting up fruit.

"I thought you were Alex. He told us that he was going to pick some one up and go to lunch. We thought he was picking up a date." She says

"Yeah he's going to lunch with Jermey right now:" I cover for him. I know he doesn't want many people to know about his new fling. I'll keep it secret until he wants to expose it. I bring my bag upstairs and open the door to our bedroom. Vi and Vinny are on the bed playing with a dinosaur and a duck toy.

"Dada!" Thy both say and reach out their hands to me.

"Dada's not here right now." Roni says from the bathroom.

"Actually I am" I say after swooping up the twins. She looks out of the doorway with an eyebrow raised.

"Aaron!" She says and hugs me with the twins.

"I miss you" Vi says.

"I missed you too princess" I tell her and kiss her forehead.

"Me glad you back" Vinny says. I hug him tighter. For the rest of the day I just head what they've been doing for the past two weeks and I tell them what I have been doing.

"Ok, give Dada a break" Roni says. "I'm sure you guys and him are hungry" she says

"Yes" all three of us say at the same time. She giggles and orders some food. We have a nice family dinner, which is rare for us now. We play for a little while until it's the twins bedtime. I give Vinny a bath and Roni gives I a bath and we lay them down to go to bed. I read them a quick bedtime story and act it out as I read because that's how they like it. They're finally ready to go to sleep as the cuddle their stuffed animals. I smile at that sight and turn the light off and the night on. I close the door quietly behind me. I'm so glad that I'm finally home even if it's just for a week.
