Chapter 69: Last Day

Roni POV
Today is Aaron's last full day here. All though we've had some differences while he was here, I'm glad he got to come home and get a break. Today I know he just wants to relax because in a little bit he's going to have to be back on the harsh work of being a movie star. Everyone's going to have trouble dealing with the death on set. It's a difficult thing to deal with especially knowing that it was at the expense of people who were supposed to keep you safe a assured you that while you're doing something that you love, you would have the things that you needed to survive on set.

We sleep in and gets some rest. Vi and Vinny join us when they wake up. For once their trying to sleep in. It's a special occasion so we take advantage of it and sleep in with them. They get all wrapped and lay between us, smothered by our two bodies in warmth. These are all the coldest months in LA. It barely gets cold here so It's kind of a treat.

The rest didn't last long because the twins got up before us and dragged us out of bed. Whatever they say, I follow. Aaron does the same. They've got us wrapped around their little fingers and they don't even know it. We would follow them to the ends of the earth if we have to. I think we're a little to gullible but they're so cute that we can't help it.

We decide to make breakfast as a family, well at least we try to. It's chaos. There's pancake mix everywhere and the bacon pops and crackles more than anything. The only thing louder than that is our giggling and chaotic chatter. By the end we have a finished product of fresh squeezed orange juice, bacon, and pancakes. They look delightful but the kitchen does not. This definitely was the cleanest decision but it was a fun memorable one and that's all that counts. After enjoying all that hard work and the good food that came out of it, we have to tackle the mess that was made. Aaron takes on the kitchen and I take on wiping down the kids and changing the them into some more pajamas.

Watching movies was the go to move. Disney plus might be the best investment that we've everAaron and I got wrapped up on the couch and comfortable. The twins color and watch movies at the same time. This doesn't last long because they get so engrossed into the movie. They cuddle up with udon the couch and watch it. One movie turns into two, and two turns into a movie marathon. We get snacks and enjoy them as we watch. The twins only make it through the first three movies until they fall asleep. Aaron and I don't make it to far after the the fourth one before we're knocked out too.

Our mid day nap must have lasted a long time because when I wake up I see Nessa downstairs making a bottle for Echo.

"Wow, look whose finally up. You guys have been asleep for hours, even I don't sleep for that long."

"That's a lie and you know it" I clap back and roll my eyes. "Do you remember that time that you almost slept for twenty four hours?"

"I do not recall" she pretends to not remember. I smile as she goes back upstairs to give Echo her bottle. I feel someone move and it Vinny stretching. He must be waking up. I let him take his time. I know how bad it feels to be waken up from a good nap. He finally wriggles awake and looks at me almost in a lost way. Kids are always like that when they first wake up.

While we wait for Aaron and Vi to wake up, he says that he's hungry. I can't even lie and say that I'm not, but it's getting close to dinner so we just have a snack. I eat half of a pb and j and he ate the other half. We both drink a glass of milk and let Guppy our. When we come back in Aaron is awake and Vi looks like she's fidgeting so she waking up. Aaron doesn't want to move and wake up Vi so he just sits there and let's her relax and sleep. I think it really cute to just see him chilling with Vi sleeping on him. Her little arms are wrapped around him as much as she can. When she moves he kisses her head and she falls right back to sleep. I decide to lay back on the couch with them. Vinny curls up in my lap. I play with his curls and I see the cutest little smile. Oh my lord, he has my heart. I smother him in a big hug.

We end up getting pizza for dinner, which is the kids favorite. Aaron just enjoys relaxing with his family for the rest of the night. Lots of laughs, stories, and good stuff goes around. Our night ends up being fun and playful. We even let the kids stay up a little late. The twins weren't tired anyway after that long nap they took, but a quick sugar crash from ice cream makes them knockout. The adults stay up even longer until we finally go to bed.

When we get ready for bed we crawl in and talk for a little. Aaron traces patterns in my back as we talk. I turn around to face him and gently kiss his lips. His hands rest on my waist as they pull me closer into a hug. My head rests into his neck. The only time we're close to the same height is when we're laying down. I kiss his ear. He moves his head down to kiss my neck. Our scents interchange. I turn off the light and we say good night.
