Aaron POV
Alex and Nessa Run over and I turn the computer screen to show them. The email shines as bright in the screen as the smile that shines bright on my face. It reads,

Dear Aaron Burriss, we are delighted to inform you that you've gotten the role as Dr. Lang in our upcoming movie. We'll start our script reading at the Paramount meeting center in two weeks. We're excited to see you there!

Everyone starts hugging me. It's crazy. This is a role. I've been waiting for a role in something for such a long time. It could be anything, but I got the lead role. I would've taken any role. I could've even been the least important character, but I get the lead.

"You did it!" Roni cheers

"I'm living with a movie star!" Nessa says jokingly.

"It's your big break bro!" Alex congratulates. Kian walks in.

"What did I miss?" He says.

"He got the role!" Nessa says

"Holy sh-" He says but Nessa stops him from saying the word. He reads the email too.

"Look at my best friend doing big things!" He says

"This is crazy!" Is all I manage to say. It just all feels so surreal. I did it. I don't know how but I did. I feel like crying and I honestly don't know why. "Is this a dream?" I ask myself. Alex reads my mind and pinches me.

"Oww" I say and rub my arm

"I know what your thinking and it's not a dream" Alex says.

"You did baby! I'm so proud of you!" Roni says and gives me a kiss on the cheek. Once I get out of the star of shock that I'm in, I call Andrew.

"Hey Aaron was up?" He asks

"Hey Drew, can you get everyone to come in the living room. Can you screen mirror me on the TV." I ask

"Sure" he says. Everyone starts to come in the living room.

"Hi Aaron" Malaya says and waves. Alex, Nessa, and Roni come to see who I'm talking to. They say hey to everyone.

"I have some really exciting news" I say.

"Are you and Roni having another baby?" Malaya asks

"No, sorry princess gorgeous" I say

"You're giving us all 100 dollars?" Andrew asks

"Nice try Drew" I say "Actually, do you guys watch Marvel?" I ask

"Yeah definitely" Dad says

"Well guess who got the leading role in their next up coming movie?" I say

"OMG" Mariah says

"Woaaahhh!" Drew gazes

"This is awesome!" Malaya cheers

"Wow!" Mom says

"We're so proud of you son!" Dad says.

"Aaron, that's so cool! You're going to be a big time movie star!" Andrew says

"Don't forget about us when your famous" Mariah says

"I would never" I reassure her. We all talk for a little while longer. Alex comes back into the shot and talks some too.

"Alex can you do me a favor?" Malaya asks

"Anything for you Princess Gorgeous" he says

"Can you tell Lauren that I want her to help me with a DIY?"

"Will do" he says. I look at him. I guess he hasn't told them yet. That's not good. I play it off but when we hang up I ask him about it.

"Alex, why haven't you told them yet?" I ask

"Told them what?" He acts like he doesn't know.

"Alex" I say in a sterner voice.

"I don't want to worry them Aaron. I promise I'll tell them soon. Don't let this ruin your news. Did you forget that you just found out that your going to be a huge star in a marvel movie. Soon you're going to be working with Robert Downey Jr and Chris Evans. You get to see Tom Holland and you get to work for a legend. You get to make kids dreams come true, I know you remember us watching superhero movies when we were little. You get to be that for some little kid. That's crazy!" He says. I know he's just saying it to get me off his back, but he's right.

"Did I hear Tom Holland?" Nessa says "Aaron if you get to meet him or work with him, please let me meet him. I'll give you whatever you want" she begs.

"Ok Nessa" I laugh. She starts happy jumping around. Kian rolls his eyes. The rest of the day all I can think about is the fact that this is really happening. It's not a dream. It's real and crazy. I never thought in a hundred years that I would be here, but I am. Everyone else is all excited about and don't get me wrong, I'm excited too but it just feels different. Is my life going to completely change? What if I'm really not fit for this role? A hundred different thoughts run through my head. I finally settle with one, Everything happens for a reason. If this was meant to happen, it was meant to happen. What ever is in store for me, I'm ready. The two week wait is going to be a hard one but I can't wait for that script read. That two year journey that I'm going to have to take to film and to get through the movie is all going to be worth it because that's what life has in store for me. And when that first screening of the movie happens or when I have to walk on red carpets and I get to see people smile because of me, then I'll know that life really had the best thing in store for me.

When my head hits my pillow that night, I don't need to sleep on the thought. I'm going to take the role. I'm excited, scared, and every emotion in between but I'm going to get through it. I'm so glad that I got here even though I never thought I would and when I finally make it to the finish product, I'm going to thank everyone who helped me get there.
