Roni POV
Now that we have decided on the decision to open up a shop, everything has been crazy. We have to work our building blueprints, pump out clothes, work on advertisement, and a bunch of other things. It is absolutely insane. We've been so busy with that. This is a huge opportunity that comes with huge responsibilities to get it, but Nessa and I are willing to work for our dream.
We have a meeting today discussing some more plans. We have to keep everyone that's involved constantly updated about every move we make. We wouldn't want any miscommunication because that's when everything starts going down hill. We're definitely not as worried about this meeting as the last one, but that doesn't mean that all our anxiety has gone away. It's still prevalent because we don't know what obstacles are going to be thrown at us. That's nerve wrecking, but we can make it through.
We arrive at the building we were at for our first meeting. This is our third meeting since then, so this place is pretty familiar. We give the receptionist a smile as she lets us in. We sit at our respective areas of the table as the business owners and managers start coming in. They show us the newest plan that have that the builders have just sketched out. It's is beautiful. The store is supposed to look like an art price and that is genuinely what it looks like. It glows. I'm not being metaphorical this time, it actually glows. On the outside walls they plan to make it glow with bright white lights imbedded so you can't see the lights, you can only see how bright it shines. It's decorated with butterflies, playing on the fact that Vanessa means butterflies. It's just a square building out lined with the border of light. The sign is a solid, lavender, cursive letters with the name of the store on it. There's one or two big butterflies on the corners of the top of the building. It has smaller butterflies and flowers all over.
"It's beautiful" Nessa and I say in sync. We look at each other and giggle a little.
"We're glad you like it. We put a lot of effort into telling the designers the exact details. They also put a a lot of effort into making this all work. We're so glad we chose to go through this with you guys. You're great business partners and we can really see your passion for what you're doing." One of the mangers says
"We're extremely glad that you guys chose us to. This is always been a dream of ours and I can speak for Vanessa when I say that this is one of the greatest things that has ever happened to us" I say
"This is and was some of the greatest decisions that we've ever made. This is going to completely life changing and I can't wait until we can start this journey" Nessa says
"Speaking of the building process and getting this show on the road, as long as this form is signed and you truly approve of the design, then we can actually start building tomorrow" The building manager says. We pass out form to our lawyer that has to be here for legal stuff like this. She reads through it and sees that is standard procedure . She slide it to us and we sign. We handed it back to the building manager who happily took it. Both Nessa and I have a huge smile on our faces. We just signed the contract that ensures that our store is going to start being built as soon as possible.
When we get home and it's time to go to sleep for the night, I can hardly sleep. All I can think about is the fact that the building that we've worked so hard on is being built tomorrow. It's gonna take some time but it's going to be built. It feels strange, crazy, surreal, and everything in between. I feel Aaron's arms wrap around my waist. I thought he was asleep.
"Get some rest babe, you're going to need yo for tomorrow" he says. I smile. I flip over to him and give him a kiss on the forehead. He pulls me a little closer. I lay my head on my chest and slowly drift off in his embrace. When I wake up I'm still tangled up in his arms. I feel for my phone.
"Don't worry, you didn't over sleep" He tells me. He surprised me again with being awake.
"Give me a morning breath kiss" I tell him
"Gladly" he responds and gives me a long kiss on the lips. We sit like that for a minute and we feel two bodies smithed in between us. We all sit like that for a minute, then we get up and do our usual morning routine. Once everyone, including Alex's family and Nessa's family is ready, we get go to where it's all going to be. We're are dreams start.
It's just a plot of land when we get there. It has a bit of material on the ground because the construction workers are just coming to the plot of land. I don't know why, but Nessa and I start crying. I don't know what it is but it's just emotional. It's not a hard cry it's just tears flowing out and we barely notices.
"Wow" is all I hear the kids say. It makes it an even better moment.
A wise man named Paul Merrell once told me that when you plant seeds and tend to them, they grow. This seed was planted years ago. We've cared for it and kept all our passion for it. We've spent time to nurture it and really show our love and perseverance for it. I smile and all I can think is that after all this work, its finally sprouting.
