Chapter 53: Leaving

Aaron POV
All my family is in town but I have to leave. It sucks because I want to be here spending time with them. Work is really taking up a lot of time that is valuable to me, especially because we had to delete some scenes because they didn't work. We thought we were going to be in the clear about having Angelina in our scenes, but the film messed up. We literally only have one good clip and it isn't with her. We had to scrap the whole thing. It's almost like starting over. It's stressful but thats what we have to do.

I say my goodbyes to everyone. Vi and Vinny really don't want me to leave and I had to reassure them that they'll see me in two days. My family from North Carolina give me big hugs and kisses. We won't see each other for awhile. I miss them a lot at times. It s all hard with me moving to LA. I know they miss me a lot to, especially mom, but they know that the career that I wanted led me here so they accepted it and did whatever they had to to make me happy.

After all the sentimental stuff, I Uber to the airport. Kian and Alex both offered to drive me to the airport but I told them to stay. It's the families last day here before they leave for North Carolina in the morning, so they should spend as much time with them.

The company put everyone from LA on the same flight. Luckily, Angelina has been fired. I never wish for other people's misfortune but, she's different. It would have been a big problem if she was here. Right now she's in jail for six months for a minor case of sexual assault. She has a big chance of getting out on bail. If she does, she won't have her job back or be able to get anywhere close to me.

The flight to NY was ok. I slept most of the time. I try to get as much sleep as I can because the next two days are grind time. They're extending our work hours for those two days just so we can get a lot of stuff done. Although we've had a set back, everyone seems happy and ok with it, but I'm sure that by the end of the two days, everyone will be fed up with it.

We land. We have company dinner tonight so we hurry to our rooms to get dressed for that. My condo is cleaned and kind of looks brand new. It still feels a little lonely but it won't be soon. I can't wait to everyone gets here. It'll be cool to have him here so that I'll have something that I want to come home to.

I chill for an hour and let everyone know that I made it here safe. I go take a shower and get ready for the dinner/ meeting that we're having . I met up with my buddy, who happens to be named Alex. We get some boba tea before we head to the dinner. It's at some fancy restaurant. We're all talkative and having fun with each other. It's like a big family. The bosses ordered food. It's big containers of food for the whole table. We have green beans, salad, mash potatoes, roasted chicken, and a whole bunch of other stuff. We all dig in.

"Ok, so this week is going to be a little busy." The meeting starts.

"As you may know, we had to fire one of our main cast members. The film that we with her in it was messed up. We always have a back up person so, welcome Julia!" The head producer.

"Hi" Julia says. She sounds very shy. She doesn't look like she would over step boundaries like Angelina did. I sigh. I think that this time it will be different. This time I know that we'll be nothing but coworkers and friends. That's reassuring to know. We move on with the meeting. We talk about what are the main things that we have to get done and what days they should be done by. We're expected to have something done by one day by day. We have a certain schedule that we have to follow for the times that we're filming. If we go over the amount of scenes that the expect us to have done in one day then we decrease the work load for the next day and we could finish early.

We finish dinner and I go back to my condo. I FaceTime home to see what everyone is doing, they ask me about my day and I tell them about the new actor and the dinner. I ask them about their day and the go into detail about everything that they did. They tell me that they miss me and I wish them to have a safe flight to North Carolina and New York and I tell them I'll call them tomorrow. They look like they're having fun.

I call it a night as I can get into some sweatpants and take off my shirt. I watch a little bit of TV and start to fall asleep. I'm excited for the journey ahead. It has been a bumpy road getting here, but now that we have the right people everything should work out. I won't say it will be smooth, but it will work out. I feel good about what we're doing this week. Although we're going to have a lot of hard work, this is going to be one of the best experiences ever for me. It's going to open doors and it's going to be my breakout role. It's amazing to know that even with the set back, this whole dream and movie that even had but hard work into is going to workout. I applaud everyone for sticking with it and powering through. I really believe that this journey is going to be way better.
