Chapter 28: Big Time Buisness Meeting

Today is the day that Nessa and I discuss the store with our management. It's my turn to be nervous now. When I woke up this morning Aaron had made me breakfast with an encouraging note. It made me smile and it made my morning. I take care of the twins until he gets back from the gym.

"Gooooooodmooorning!" He says when he walks in the door.

"Gooooooodmooorning!" The twins mock him. They go back to eating their cereal that they insisted on having.

"I'm going to take a shower and I'll be right back down here to play with you two while mama gets dressed" He points to the twins. This makes them giggle.

Once Aaron gets out the shower he makes sure to take care of the twins while I go get ready. He knows how big this day is for me. I think that it's so sweet that he's doing that for me.

I take my time getting ready. I have to look presentable. I put on my skirt suit type thing and I gather all my notes and I go check on Nessa. She's almost ready. I head back down stairs. I see Aaron chilling with the twins laying across him. They look a little sleepy still. They're all wrapped up in a blanket and watching TV.

"I'm about to leave guys" I say. Aaron and the twins get up. I give the twins a hug.

"Good luck mama" Vinny says

"We love you" Vi says

"Love you guys to" They each give me a kiss on my cheek. Aaron gives me a hug and a kiss.

"Don't be nervous. You encouraged me when I was nervous and now I'm going to encourage you. You got this girl. There's no way they can turn down that beautiful face and your amazing designs. I know you have everything in order and that you've been working hard on it. That's going to all pay off, trust me. Everyone thinks so." He says. He gives me one last kiss before I leave. I take the last sip of the coffee that he made me this morning and leave. Nessa gets in the car in the passengers seat.

"I know I'm not the only one nervous" Nessa says

"I'm legitimately shaking" I say

"I've been pep talked by mom, dad, Kian, Aaron, and Rebel but I'm still nervous" she responds

"I know we got this. We've been working hard for a really long time. We can do it." I say. She grabs my hand. My twin knows everything about me and I'm not going to accomplish anything without her.

We pull up to the building. It's pretty real, but we've been here before. The receptionist greets us and assumes that we know where to go. We make it to the eighth floor where our meeting is going to be held. We take a deep breath and walk in.

"Hello Veronica and Vanessa, have a seat" our manager says. We have a seat at the head of the table. We start talking about our ideas. At first we get some mixed reactions but they all start to change. Everyone is convinced that we should start opening a store. Well still have our online shop so that everyone can buy whatever they want, but for our supporters in LA, we'll have a shop. They can get styled by us and it'll have exclusive things. We agree on it and shake hands in it. We go through some legal stuff and when our next meeting will be and then we leave out. As soon as we get in the car and no can see us, we start celebrating. We're practically jumping up and down in the car as tears run down our face. This is something that we've wanted for a really long time. It's been one of our dreams since we were around fourteen and it's happening. We call mom and dad to tell them what's happening. They congratulate us and they start crying too. They're really proud of us, especially dad. He's been supporting us through everything and to see it work out for us is his dream. He tells us that he couldn't be happier. A smile runs from ear to ear on all three of us. We come home home with smiles on our faces. We walk into the backyard where everyone is.

"What happened?" Aaron and Kian both ask when we get back there.

"Guess who's getting a store!" Nessa says. They get up to hug us. Now we're both crying. Aaron tucks my hair behind my ear. He pulls me into a hug again.

"I'm so so proud of you. I knew you could do it" he says as we rock back and forth in a hug. We pull away with smiles as he wipes away my tears.

"Y'all were over here doubting yourselves. We knew you could do it" Kian says. Nessa and I give each other a big hug. When we pull away I hear.

"Dada, did mama do good?"

"She did great bud." I look back and see Vinny running up to me.

"Good job mama, I proud of you!" He says. I pick him up.

"Thank you baby" I say. I give him a couple kisses on the cheek and forehead.

"Mommy did it!" Rebel says and gives Nessa a hug. Vi comes over to join in. After all our congratulations we come back inside. We change into some more comfortable clothes. We end our night off by just chilling with our family. We're still shocked by everything that's happening. It feels great to just accomplish this with my other half and to come home to the people I love the most congratulating us. I feel like we've made. I don't need anything else because all I ever wanted is accomplished and right here. This is what I've always wanted, this is what Nessa has always wanted and we're here. We've made it.
