Episode 20: T h e  S e r p e n t

The black panther crashed into the nightclub like a bulldozer, causing an immediate uproar.

"Damn it! Can we have one peaceful night without an intrusion?! I come here to relax not fight! To think that so many people would want to mess with one of Satan's sons!" A shapeshifter hissed before turning into a mouse and scrambling away from the dance floor. Some of the supernatural beings around him began to follow his lead from their prior experiences of what goes down in Lucifer's once an intrusion takes place.

Jin roughly pushed through the crowd, appearing right in front of the panther.

"Jin!" Deealah screamed in between tears and gasps, dragging down a bloody Hongbin. His eyes widened with shock before he quickly ran over to her.

"What is this? What...what happened?"

"I don't have time to explain!" She shook her head, holding her brother close to her. "I need help. We need to run away!" She looked back behind her. "She's coming after us! Jin, please! I need to go to a place where she won't find us! If I don't, then..." she looked down at her brother grimly, "you need to help me."

"Why?" Jin uttered with a hesitant look in his eyes. Deealah looked up at him as if he were insane.

"Why? Because you're my fucking cousin that's why! And so is he!" She screamed. "And if you want a reason to care, after she's done with us, she'll come after you and everyone here! Now if you're still wondering why you should help me then you can stay right here you fucking bastard and do nothing. But I'm going to run away." She turned back to the panther before Jin quickly intervened, grabbing her wrist.

"Hold on, what do you mean she'll--"

"There you are." A cool voice stepped into the club, alerting them both.

"She's here!" The girl practically screamed, completely mortified by her presence. Jin stared at the seemingly harmless woman and looked back down at his petrified cousin. He hadn't ever seen her look so frightened since she was 100 years old getting scolded by her father.

"Don't get hit by the bullet!" Deealah quickly warned a clueless Jin as the woman raised up her gun and fired. The whole club was broke out into chaos in less than seconds.

With a successful duck, Jin managed to dodge the bullet. Once he got back up and stared at the bartender that got hit instead, he knew exactly why Deealah was so afraid.

The bullet had lodged into his skull, draining him of all life. In fact, it just might have sucked his soul out leaving just an empty body behind.

"Let's go." Jin quickly grabbed Deealah and her brother. Without a second thought, he teleported them all into the mansion.

Deealah fell down with Hongbin and quickly attended to him. They were followed by Jin, who stabilized himself before he could suffer the same fall.

"Where are we?" Deealah studied her surroundings with awe but then shook her head. "I don't care. She won't find us here, right? That's all that matters!" Deealah looked at Jin with hope, wiping her tears off.

"Don't worry. Not even Satan could find us here." Jin smirked reassuringly. "Tell me now, who the fuck is that woman? And what does she want from you two?"

"Why are you asking me such a stupid question? Does it look like I know?! Do you think I would have gotten myself in this stupid mess if I had known?" Deealah angrily snapped at him.

"Is this how you repay someone who just saved your ass?" Jin scoffed, rolling his eyes at his ill-tempered cousin. "I should've let her poke a bullet through that sharp mouth of yours, you cry baby."
