Episode 58: H a t e
When the rooftop was silent, when there were no more violent heatwaves or heavy breathing or muddled thoughts, Sera finally realized how bad the situation was.
"Oh no." She gasped, her hands trembling on her lap as she stared at the empty space where Aiko and Satan were standing just a few seconds ago.
There was nothing she could have done to hold Aiko back when her mind and body were at a disconnect. She had never felt so helpless in front of anyone, but after all, that wasn't just anyone. That was Satan.
It was enough of a reward to still be alive after witnessing his presence. But Aiko had willingly called a conniving, evil man like him "grandpa". And that was bad.
Really bad.

She stumbled in from the door, her eyes scouring the first floor of the mansion before tilting her head up at the voices coming from the staircase.
"H-Hanul." Sera gasped with a shaky voice, still recovering from the traumatic experience she had to pull herself through. She knew she had to tell someone quickly. If she waited any longer, who knows what Satan had in plan for Aiko. "HANUL!" She screamed, her knees shaking as she reached the top of the staircase.
In a flash, both of his parents were standing in front of her with wide eyes.
"Sera?" Hanul blinked with confusion, watching the girl's panicked eyes dancing around from V to her.
"Where's Aik?" V furrowed his brows, looking around.
"I..." Sera squeezed her hands together tightly fearing his reaction.
"Sera," Hanul took a calmer approach and placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. "What happened? You don't look too well."
"Hanul...I'm...I'm so sorry." She burst out into tears. Sera knew that Min would probably scoff at her if he could see her right now. She knew she was an idiot to actually get herself tangled so deep into this mess. But she couldn't hold it in anymore. Not when things could get as bad as they are now. As evil and wicked as she tried to be, she couldn't possibly lie about or ignore such a thing.
"Where is Aiko," V growled in demand, repeating himself as his eyes widened with terror. The girl's words choked up even more.
"V! You're not helping." Hanul turned around and snapped. Sera looked down, noticing her trembling hands. Hanul was trying so hard to keep herself put together, the girl couldn't help but wonder what would happen when she found out. "Sera." Hanul's voice grew quiet with concern. "Breathe. Just tell us what happened. Go on." She nodded with understanding.
"I was just with him...we were together...and...." she looked up at V with wary eyes before shutting her own. "Satan. Aiko left with Satan." The girl practically burst into tears all over again.
"V, can you sense him?" Hanul immediately turned to her husband who was holding back a fiery rage in his eyes.
"Son of a bloody bitch." He gritted his teeth and shook his head. "He blocked his energy. You! What exactly did he say?"
"I...I can't remember. I was so scared." Sera admitted, her knees weakening as she collapsed down to the floor, covering her face. "I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. I couldn't do anything! I felt like...I felt like I was going to die...I'm so sorry, Hanul."
Hanul's claws began to grow out and her frame slithered with a gray aura as her fangs slightly extended beyond her lips. "Where the fuck did Satan take my son!!"
