Episode 21: B l o o d  O a t h

Hanul slowly got up from the floor, balancing on her feet as she held on to her fairly swollen belly and walked over to the door. Those crashing noises startled her out of the daze that usually took over her these days. Lately, there was something off in the air. She didn't know what it was, but there were periods of time where she'd randomly space out or get bombarded by frightening visions. Mainly, of him. Sometimes, she just wished it would all just go away.

"He's in there alone with that bitch!" V's angry voice frightened a nerve in her as she pressed her ear against the door.

What's happening to Jimin? It had to be him causing the wreckage next door. Her hand touched the cold doorknob, hesitant about stepping out to face V.

"We can't do anything about this barrier, V. You need to relax!" An obnoxious female voice snapped back at him. She sounded very familiar to her. Deealah?

"Damn it. What is she doing to him?" Jin's voice spoke up last.

"I'm going to blast through this thing." V angrily spoke.

"No! You can't! You don't know where your shot can hit. They can be standing anywhere!"

"Well I'm not going to just stand here and do nothing!"

The door creaked open and Hanul peeked out, watching them standing a few feet across from her. V's head snapped at her direction, surprised to see Hanul coming out of the room so suddenly.

"It's you." Hanul's eyes moved over to Deealah's hateful glare. Just seeing her face made Hanul angry and scared at the same time. The last encounter she had with her was when she had nearly killed her--twice. That girl was incredibly strong, but Hanul knew that if she wasn't feeling so confused then she could probably take her on. If only she felt like herself.

"Bitch."Hanul's neck snapped to the side, feeling the ring of her smack still vibrating in her ear.

Of course she had seen Deealah storm up to her, but she wasn't going to stop the attack either. In a way, she almost felt bad for her.

"Deealah!" Jin's gasped right before V's body flashed by and pinned the girl against the wall in front of him, holding Deealah up in a tight chokehold.

"Did you lose your mind?!" He hissed at her, his orange eyes flaring. She gasped and coughed before regaining her ability to talk.

"You...you...I can't believe you," she scoffed at him between struggling breathes. "Fallen for the same girl twice. And you'd even risk hurting me for yet another whore?"

"She's not the same." V firmly defended Hanul.

"I DON'T CARE!" She screamed, practically bursting into tears. "You swore! You swore yourself to me, V! How could you forget that?"

"We're cousins Deealah!" V yelled back at her. "Besides, do you think I was serious enough back then? We were kids! Neither of us understood what love was. The only reason we were forced to even think that way was because of our fathers' twisted plots against each other! Grow up already!"

"You bastard!" She kicked her legs around and punched his arm. But before she was able to smack him across the face, Hanul's hand beat her to it. V's eyes widened with surprise and betrayal as he looked down at her.

"Let her go." Hanul glared up at him, gritting her teeth with fury. Deealah looked just as equally surprised as V did. "You've done enough hurting people. I won't let you hurt anyone anymore."
