Moon was pacing around her room in worry. There still hadn't been any word, and it had been a little less than a day. At least that's when she was told. Gladion had gone on a mission into the Altra wormhole and he hasn't come back yet.

"That idiot better be ok." Moon grunted, continuing to pace her room. "Why couldn't he have told me himself? It would have been nice to have been told about it. It's dangerous in there! What if..." she paused shaking her head to dismiss the thought. "No...no I can't think like that. I have to-"

Her phone suddenly rang, cutting her off. Moon practically jumped over her bed to get to her phone. Though there was a lot of tumbling and she ending up on the floor in front of her bedside table. From the floor, she quickly patted around the table until she found the phone.

"Hello?" Moon answered the phone, praying for good news.

"Hi Moon." Lillie greeted, though her voice didn't have its usual chipper tone.

"Lillie, what happened?" Moon asked.

"It's Gladion." Lillie replied slowly. "He's in the hospital."

"W...what?" Moon choked out, tears forming in her eyes.

"I'll text you the address." Lillie stated. "See you there." Lillie hung up.

Moon crumbled a moment, letting tears fall free. Gladion is back, but he is hurt, badly. This could be her last chance. She quickly stood up and pulled herself together. Moon ran downstairs to see her brother, Sun, playing video games on the couch.

"Tell Mom I'm going out and probably won't come back for a while! Also I'm borrowing your Charizard!" Moon called as she left the house with her brother's Pokémon.

She released the Pokémon and climbed on, instructing it to take her to the hospital as fast as possible. More tears rolled down her cheeks as she rode as her mind conjuring up the worst possibles. Moon wiped her face as she neared the hospital, not even bothering to wait for the Pokémon to land as she climbed off.

"Return!" Moon commanded as she ran into the hospital, and Charizard was successful returned to it's Pokéball. Moon burst through the doors. "Where is he?" She boomed. She had startled a worried Lusamine and Lillie standing in the waiting room. "Well?"

"They just took him in." Lillie replied, her voice hushed and broken.

Moon darted past them. There was still time to see him before that. "Give this back to my brother when you get the chance!" Moon tossed the Pokéball over her shoulder as she ran.

"Oh!" Lillie squeaked as she caught the Pokéball.

Meanwhile, Moon was rushing all around the hospital, in search for Gladion. She found him, just as he was being brought in, past the area she could not go.

"Hey! Wait!" Moon attempted to stop them.

"I'm sorry, but he must be tending to right away." One of the standby nurses warned.

They continued on, pushing the bed that he lay unconscious in, to see if they could heal him in time. Moon stood there a moment, trying to catch her breath. Was he hurt that badly? Was there that big of a chance that she could lose him? She didn't want to believe it.

"I..it's can't be." Moon muttered, trying to contain her sobs.

"Come on." Lillie appeared next to her. "Let's go back and wait."

Lillie slowly guided her crying friend back to where her mother waited. As time pasted, Lusamine answered phone calls for Aether, Lillie was reading through magazines, either muttering in agreement or disagreement at the contents, and Moon going through her phone, deleting what wasn't necessary.
