After the whole Gladion escapade, Mimo gave herself a new mission to help forget about her first love. Her new mission: get Mallow and her brother to finally admit their overly obvious feelings.
Mimo had come up with the perfect plan, as far as she was concerned. A few simple steps to give them the push they needed. Step one: force them to spend more time together.
"Hey Kiawe, can we go play with Mallow?" Mimo asked.
"I don't know, she might be..." Kiawe trailed off, Mimo using her power of cuteness to get him to agree.
"Please?" Mimo begged.
"Ok!" Kiawe agreed.
So, they rode off to Mallow's house on Kiawe's Charizard. Mimo was so excited about her plan that she jumped off the Pokémon before Kiawe could help her off, and ran to the front door.
"Mallow! It's Mimo. Can we play?" Mimo called through the door as she knocked.
The door opened. "Hi Mimo, come to play, I see." Mallow giggled.
"Yep! The three of us will have so much fun." Mimo beamed.
"Three...oh, hi Kiawe." Mallow greeted as she looked up to meet his gaze. "I didn't expect to see you here."
"Yeah..." Kiawe replied, unsure what else to say.
The two teens just stood there awkwardly, not sure what to say.
"Come on Slowpokes! Let's play!" Mimo boomed and ran into the house.
Kiawe and Mallow we're quickly snapped out of their awkwardness and followed the little girl inside. They began to play little games together, but once Mimo felt that they were finally comfortable, it was time for the next step. Step two: ask innocent questions that aren't so innocent.
"Hey Mallow, can you do my hair?" Mimo asked.
"Sure." Mallow smiled and grabbed a bush and some hair clips. "What would you like me to do?"
"Can you make it as beautiful as yours?" Mimo asked.
"Well, I wouldn't call it beautiful. My hair is pretty simple." Mallow remarked nervously.
"No way! You are so pretty! Don't you think she is pretty, big brother?" Mimo questioned her brother.
Both teens blushed and Kiawe didn't know how to answer. Yes, Kiawe thought Mallow was pretty, beautiful actually, but how was he supposed to say that without giving away how he felt.
"Well...of course I think she is pretty...who wouldn't?" Kiawe managed.
"Thank you." Mallow looked away with a dark blush. She began to brush the little girl's hair.
"How long have you two known each other?" Mimo suddenly asked.
"We're have know each other since grade school and been best friends ever since." Mallow smiled as she recalled the fond memories with Kiawe.
"Wow, you two have been together for a long time." Mimo smiled, knowing full well what she was implying.
Mallow and Kiawe jumped at her statement.
"It's not like that!" Mallow squeaked.
"We aren't together like that!" Kiawe added.
"Oh." Mimo kept the smile off her face. "But don't you want to be together? You two get along so well and would make such a cute couple."
They looked away from each other, completely red in the face. How were they supposed to answer? Kiawe glanced at his not so innocent little sister, who had a huge grin on her face.
"Mimo, can I talk to you in private for a second?" Kiawe asked through greeting teeth.
"Sure." Mimo answered, not a care in the world.
"Excuse me, Mallow." Kiawe stated as he pulled his little sister outside. Once the two were outside and the door was closed, Kiawe glared at his little sister. "What were you thinking?"
"What ever do you mean?" Mimo questioned, playing dumb.
"Don't even try." Kiawe barked.
"Aw, Kiawe." Mimo put on her cute face.
"That's enough!" Kiawe boomed. "Do you have any idea what you are doing?"
"Trying to get you and Mallow to finally admit your feelings for each other." Mimo smiled sheepishly.
"You don't get it! I love Mallow, ok? I love her even if she doesn't love me and I don't need you butting in my business. My friendship with her is the most important thing in the world to me and I will not have you ruin it by trying to set us up." Kiawe growled. "So please, just stop your matchmaking or whatever you are doing."
Mimo nodded, but jumped slightly as she spotted something. "Wait! I will only stop if you answer a question.
"Fine." Kiawe sighed as he crossed his arms.
"What is it you love about Mallow?" Mimo asked.
"Well, Mallow is incredible. She is sweet and kind and is so passionate about her love of cooking. She brightens my day with her smile alone and is beyond beautiful. She makes me feel...I can't even put it into words, but I never want it to stop." Kiawe smiled to himself.
Mimo was practically in tears at the touching words of her brother. It was sweeter than she imagined.
"Aww! That was adorable! You have to go tell Mallow!" Mimo urged.
Kiawe shook his head. "No. You promised you would stop this if I answered your question. Let's just go back inside."
He walked back to the house with Mimo trolling up behind him. Little did he know, Mallow had been listening. He opened the door and saw Mallow standing by the door with the biggest smile upon her face. She ran up and threw her arms around him.
"I love you too, Kiawe!" Mallow chirped in pure happiness. "I heard everything you said and I couldn't be happier."
Kiawe slowly hugged her back and smiled as well. They pulled back, still in each other's arms and kissed. They kiss for all the time they missed out on and all the love they held for the other.
Mimo stayed outside, satisfied with her plan. Whatever steps that were supposed to come next, were not needed and therefore, forgiven. Mimo smiled, happy to finally have her confess his feelings. Now, if only Mallow could keep him distracted enough for Mimo to actually be able to do stuff without her brother getting in her business.
THE END!!!
