"Yay!" Quinn squealed when she saw her little brother and sister with their kids.
Mike and Mercedes followed behind her as she ran over. "Hey!"
"Hey!" The younger Chang family smiled.
"Hi, Tias! Hi, Tio!" The twins waved brightly.
Mercedes and Quinn gave them kisses while Mike messed with their hair as they giggled. "Hi!"
"Can we go inside?" Marcy suggested. "I don't want my baby in this dry air."
"You're right!" Mercedes spoke in baby talk. "We don't want that baby to catch a cold! Is that right, Rye?!"
Riley glared at her.
"You stop acting like that." Marcy swept her finger over Riley's forehead.
Riley gurgled.
"Don't talk to my Sweetpea like that." Mal took her carrier.
Riley brightened and reached for her father.
Mal kissed her cheeks happily.
"Awww!" Mercedes and Quinn gushed.
"We literally haven't moved an inch." Marcy stated.
Mike picked her up. "Well come on then!"
She wrapped her arms around his neck. "Okay."
He immediately saw where he went wrong. Now he had to carry her. "Okay."
Mercedes and Quinn giggled.
W.W.W.
"Mommy!" Mally stuck his face out for kisses.
Marcy kissed his cheek. "Hi, baby. Are you next, Merce?"
"I think so." Mercedes looked around. It was night so there weren't a tonne of people around but it was enough. "You wanna go first?"
"Sure." They were at the deli counter and a woman was waiting patiently. Marcy went to the glass and read different wrappers. "Can I try the bourbon ham?"
The woman gave her a slice on a wax sheet.
Marcy gave it to Mally. "Taste it."
Mally ripped off a piece and chewed. "Yummy!"
Marcy ate a piece and offered the last bit to Mercedes. "I'd like a pound of the bourbon ham."
The woman sliced a pound of the bourbon ham then returned. "Anything else?"
"A half pound of the oven roasted BBQ turkey breast."
The woman sliced the meat then returned. "Anything else?"
"A pound of the hard salame."
She did it again.
"A half pound of the hickory smoked turkey."
And again.
"A half pound of the grilled chicken breast."
And again.
"A pound and a half of Colby jack cheese."
The woman sliced cheese and brought it back. "Anything else?"
"Four slices of muenster."
"Coming right up." The woman brought the cheese back. "Anything else?"
"A pound of Swiss."
She brought the cheese back.
"A half pound of Havarti."
And again.
