The Way We Introduce Bartana

Santana yawned as she rang the doorbell. They were expected because they'd given their name at the gate. "Stop, boy!"

AJ reached for her earrings anyway.

She growled at him.

He pouted.

"Be nice to my son." Artie chuckled as the door opened.

Pendleton stood there as the pets wanted to see who was at the door. "Welcome, Abramses."

"Hi, Pendleton!" The trio chirped.

"Come inside." He moved so they could come in.

They came inside and took off their shoes (Artie wheeling over a patch of carpet). They followed the butler to a parlor, where the Fabangeses sat with all of their kids. "Whoa!"

"Tana!" Mercedes popped up to give them hugs. "Britt! Artie!"

"I know you said you had some extra kids but man!" Artie blinked.

Mike laughed as he hugged him. "I've only got two extra."

"Who ya got?" Artie rubbed his hands together.

Mike picked up Valentino and Gabriella. "Val and Gabi. Say hi, guys."

The serious duo waved politely.

"She's so cute! She looks like MJ."

"I know." Mike jostled the almost two year old.

Artie waggled his brows. "He looks like Queen."

"Yeah."

"Can they talk?"

"Yeah. Say hi, guys. Say words."

"Hello." The two said in their posh accents.

Artie laughed. "They even sound like Queen!"

"Quinn thinks Gabi sounds like Marcy when she was a baby." Mike informed him.

"Nah. This cocoa puff sounds like a lady. Ain't nothin ladylike about my Boo Thang."

"Don't get got, gimp!" Marcy trailed over.

"You and them dog ears!"

"You need to be worried about my foot!" She hugged him.

He copped a feel and she hit him. "You love me."

"I tolerate you."

"You know you wanna run away with me!"

"Do I look like Karou?"

"A little bit."

She hit him again.

He laughed. "How many kids do you have?"

She rubbed her stomach. "Eleven."

His eyes widened. "What?!"

"Come on! Meet Nana!"

The women were in the kitchen with Manny, who was preparing lunch. They were of course talking about their children.

"I can't believe you have so many kids." Santana shook her head.

"I want to adopt!" Brittany squealed.

"Britt... We just got married."

"They just got married!" Brittany wailed.

"Patti and Little Chang have been married for more than five years."

"Just!"

Marcy tried to stop laughing.

"Patti!" Santana snapped.

"Britt, you don't have a nanny yet. How are you going to take care of more children?"

Santana beamed. "She's right."

"San's mom is supposed to be helping us look for a nanny. She said she was coming out this week so we can have one before school and recording started." Brittany said.

"Ugh!" Marcy had "forgotten" about recording.

Quinn giggled. "You're going to be a superstar, Marce."

"And we can't tell anybody!" Santana hated that.

Brittany side-eyed her wife. She hadn't forgotten what they were talking about. "I want to adopt."

"Britt,-"

"We're adopting!"

"Damn, are you pregnant?" Marcy stared at Brittany fearfully.

Brittany pouted. "I don't think so. Our doctor said that we couldn't get pregnant if we're breastfeeding."

"It's improbable; not impossible."

"Yeah." Quinn sighed. "We're all pregnant again."

Brittany squealed. "Do you think I am?!"

"Will you chill out on wanting to adopt if you are?" Santana hoped so.

"No." Brittany answered honestly. "I want to adopt no matter what."

Santana threw up her hands. "Jimi will be the one waiting on you hand and foot!"

Brittany didn't mind. "Okay."

"Did you like meeting Bartana?" Mercedes asked Valentino that night.

"Bartana." He said slowly.

"Funny name, huh?"

"Why's that their name?"

"It's their shipname." Mike told him. "The name for their relationship."

Valentino giggled. "That's funny."

"Do you want to know ours?" Quinn tickled him.

He nodded with a smile.

"Minke."

"Minke?"

"Like the furry little animal." Mercedes tickled him.

He laughed. "That's funny!"

"Yeah, we're funny." Mike's lips twisted.

"Are you ready to go to sleep?" Mercedes asked.

Valentino nodded and yawned. "I'm sleepy."

Mike, Mercedes and Quinn began singing him to sleep. The little boy drifted off with a smile on his face so content, one would think he was in heaven.
