Marcy was sick of rolling up the Christmas lights. But it was her fault. She wanted their decorations down before New Years Eve. "Ugh!"
Yuria walked in with all of the wreaths. "I have them all."
"This tub please." Marcy had already marked different plastic tubs for different decorations.
Yuria sat them in carefully. "What next?"
"Replacing the decorations in the dining room." The cinnamon room was usually decorated warmly.
"In here?" Yuria pointed to a tub that said dining room.
"Yeah. Just take everything out of the room and replace it with everything in this tub."
Yuria nodded before leaving to do so.
The maid walked in. "Madame?"
"Oui, FeFe?" Marcy only said that because it amused her that the woman's name was FeFe. She usually despised anything French.
"The kitchen is finished."
"Thank you. You can leave the tub by the basement door. Can you straighten out these lights so I can wrap them faster?"
"Oui, Madame." FeFe Donner came closer to do so.
With help, Marcy wrapped each string of lights neatly then put them away in a tub.
The guys came in from taking down the outside decorations. "It's so cold outside!"
"I bet." Marcy pushed a tub over. "All of these are full and ready to go downstairs. When Yuria finishes with the dining room, we'll be done."
"Yes!" The four cheered.
"Manny?" Marcy called out to the chef.
"Sí, señora?" Manny Rodriguez came forward.
"We need to go grocery shopping and I need to tell you our likes, dislikes and allergies. Please collect information from the rest of the staff like that. Be ready to go in thirty minutes."
"Yes, ma'am." He was tickled. Working for a rich teenager won't be so bad after all.
W.W.W.
Marcy set Riley on a couch and sat next to her. "Daddy'll be right back with your num-num."
Riley threw herself on her mother.
Marcy set her on her lap. "I know it hurts." Even the twins had had a hard time teething.
Mal walked in with the twins. He sat next to his wife and picked up their baby to give her the frozen teething ring.
Riley relaxed against him.
Judy walked in. "How's my little girl?"
"Better now." Mal pinched the baby's cheek.
"I want her." Judy reached for her.
Mal gave her up.
"Why aren't you with your little friends, guys?" Judy sat in a chair across from the young family.
Mickey went to her grandmother and peeked at her sister. "We wanted to make sure Rye was okay."
"Aww!" Judy teared up. "You're so sweet!"
Mickey beamed.
Judy rubbed the little girl's back. "Go play with your friends. I'll take very good care of your sister."
The twins kissed Riley before running out.
Judy looked at their parents. "Go have fun with your friends."
"Ms. Judy,-" Marcy started.
"No. Go on. I have Rye. Enjoy the party."
Mal stood up and pulled Marcy to her feet. "Come on, baby. We can get in some dancing before the ball drops."
Marcy was unsure.
"I'll rub your feet." He enticed.
She laughed. "Okay."
The two went to another part of the house as Judy slowly rocked with the rapidly falling asleep Riley.

"Ten!
Nine!
Eight!
Seven!
Six!
Five!
Four!
Three!
Two!

Happy New Year!"
The party broke out into a bunch of noise as the official tune of the new year played. Couples kissed, friends kissed, families kissed.
Then the champagne was popped and it was on!
