In the end, it was decided that Marc would be solo so it'd be fair when he took time off to play football. He'd sing '90s RnB.
Mike would be in a group. He mentioned Puck, Sam and Artie. All three auditioned over the phone and Percy loved it. Sam would be moving to California and would live with Puck, who would scale back on his pool cleaning until they made it big then he'd quit. The group would sing RnB from the '80s. Their name would be MAPS.
Mal would be in a group as well but Percy had two other young men picked out. They'd be an old school group from the sixties. He came up with the name the Skellington Kings. It was pretty punk rock for a soul group.
Laura would be solo and go by LEFT Jones, her full name abbreviated. Marcy came up with it. She'd be singing '90s pop.
Mercedes and Quinn would be a group with Santana and Brittany and they'd sing '90s RnB with soul, Latin influences and eighties pop. Their name was TroubleClef.
Marcy and Karen would be backed by a full band that would be half jazz, half hard rock. Their name was EmBee Covet.
Maddie was going to be solo as well and sing soulful pop. Since she was so young, someone would have to be with her at all times to keep her safe.
