Mike opened another present. He lifted out a helmet. "Who's this from?"
"Russell." Judy pouted.
He grew excited. "Is it a bike?!"
"No!" Quinn wailed.
"You're not riding any motorcycle!" Mercedes wagged her finger.
Mike sulked.
"Mercy..." Laura chided.
"He'll fall or crash and die and leave us to take care of three kids and be all alone!" Mercedes began sobbing.
Quinn started crying, too.
Michael pulled Mercedes onto his lap as Marcus grabbed Quinn. "No crying."
Mike set aside his helmet (that he'd wear after they gave birth) and went to kiss each of his wives gently. "I love you."
"I love you, too." The girls' tears slowed.
"I'm having a boy and two girls." Marcy said to cheer them up.
The family began cheering.
"Yay!" Mickey yelled.
Mally pouted. He wanted more brothers.
"Marc has news, too." Marcy said.
Marc blinked. "How'd you know?"
"You've stopped looking so pinched and stressed out. You've finally chosen which team you're going to play for, haven't you?"
"Yes." Her thought process never ceased to amaze him.
"Which one?" Michael prayed for Seattle.
"The Rams."
"Yes!" Mercedes and Quinn cheered.
Mike, Jude, Arnold and Mal took turns hugging Marc. "Congrats!"
"Thanks, guys." Marc was at peace with his decision.
"When are you going to start looking for a house?" Jeanette wanted to know.
"After the baby is born." Laura knew that for sure. "I don't want to be on any planes until after he's born and then I want his immune system in place."
"That makes a lot of sense." Marcy nodded.
Judy agreed. "I can't wait to buy Rams merchandise!"
"That's so awesome!" Karou cried.
Marc rubbed her back. "Open your next present, Mike."
Mike opened a card instead and found two cards in the envelope. He read the outside of the first then the inside. His eyes widened. "No way!"
Mercedes clapped. "Yes way!"
"What is it?" Laura had to know.
Mike gave her the card as he kissed Mercedes. "I'm having boys!"
"Congratulations!" The men clapped him on the back.
"Read the other one!" Quinn demanded.
Mike opened the other card and sniffled happily. "It's a girl."
The women cheered. "Yay!"
Hugs were passed around as the expecting parents celebrated.
