Mercedes smiled for her solitary yearbook photo before moving on. She went to go put on her volleyball uniform to take group pictures with the team then her cheerleading uniform to take group pictures with them.
Finally she put back on her street clothes (after winning Nationals in cheerleading, they weren't required to wear uniforms anymore) to go take group pictures with the glee club, French club and fashion club along with all the seniors who were graduating with 4.0s and/or other honors.
She handed out her senior pictures to everyone who asked for one (some boys [and a few girls] asked for more than one) all day long.
She was going to miss high school. It was an amazing experience overall and she'd had a blast. She hoped she and all her friends would keep in touch but she wasn't holding her breath. She knew you couldn't take everybody with you.
But she'd still try...

The glee club had just finished singing We Are the Champions to Mr. Shue, who'd just won Teacher of the Year at the end of the year award ceremony when the man came on stage to hug his kids and give a speech.
He was extremely touched and made sure to let them know it. He was going to miss the seniors so much and was terrified of letting go of the juniors in a year. What was he going to do without his kids?

Rachel blew out a breath. "Are we ready?"
Mercedes gulped. "Let's do it."
