Anna was nearly in Marcy's lap she was so close to the mother. "I can't believe you invited them!"
"They're my friends, too A." Marcy patted her back. "I know you're hurting. I'm not trying to rub their happiness in your face."
"I don't see how they're happy." Daisy tossed back her drink. "I'm not having kids for years!"
"Hallelujah..." Karen muttered as she sipped her own drink.
Daisy glared at her. "I'd be a great mother!"
Carly fell out laughing accidentally.
Tina's lips twitched.
Marcy snorted with an eye-roll. "In order to be a mother, you have to have sex and for to happen, a man would have to be able to withstand your rotten ass personality."
Karen high-fived her.
Mari was scandalized. "Guys?!"
Daisy was so offended. She flounced off to refill her glass and find her boyfriend, who was home for a short break.
"I can't believe you said that, Marcy!" Mari frowned at her best friend.
"I don't know why. I tells the truth." Marcy didn't care.
Mari glared.
"Are you pregnant? Cuz you're acting like Mercy." Marcy pointed to her older sister, who was yelling at her husband.
"Mercy's so scary now." Anna admitted.
"That child is a witch doctor."
"I'm not pregnant." Mari pouted, feeling sorry for Mike. "I wouldn't yell at Bas."
"You will. Sooner or later." Marcy sipped her alcohol free cider. "Hormones are a bitch."
"But you're so sweet." Tina pointed out.
"Too sweet." Carly liked her best friend better when she was waspish.
"There is no such thing as too sweet." Mari denied.
"You've never had a cavity." Karen bit off.
Marcy smirked. "Go find your boyfriends. It's almost midnight."
"I don't have a boyfriend." Anna reminded her.
"How about I fix you up with my cousin?"
Anna brightened. "Really? Which one?"
"His name's Damien and I think you'll really like him.
