He opened the door to their shared house, stepping in with unknown fear.

Silence.

His heart beat pace quickened upon hearing nothing but the said calming sound of the crickets.

"Y/N-ah?" he called out but nothing was heard. He then stepped foot on the kitchen to see no one.

Using his knowledge, he silently walked towards the stairs, walking upstairs and standing in front of the closed door of their shared bedroom.

He opened it and was instantly greeted with the silent, deadly sounds of your painful sobs.

His eyes softened as he removed his coat, taking light steps towards the bed.

You were curled up in your side of the bed, duvet covering half of your body.

He then layed down beside you, the mattress sinking a bit and you knew well it was him.

"Love..." he whispered, draping his arm around your waist, head in the crook of your neck, smelling your sweet scent. "I hurt you."

"You did and I can't deny that anymore." she whispered, silent tears falling down. "You made me belive that you'll love me and that you'll stay."

"You made me believe something that isn't worth my hope." she whispered and seokjin felt his own warm tears streaming down his face.

"Did you even love me seokjinie?"

"Yes. Yes I did." he suddenly choked out a sob, burying his face on her neck. "I loved you y/n. But everything just changed."

"Your loved changed." she said. "But mine didn't."

"I need you seokjin. But you know," she paused. "I can't just trap you inside something that I know would suffocate you."

"I love you too much to do that." she turned around, facing a sobbing seokjin.

"I-I don't wanna lose you." he sobbed. "I still n-need you."

"But you need her more." she painfully smiled. "You love her and you know that."

His puffy red eyes fluttered open as he glanced beside him to see no one. He shot up, eyes still red and lips a but dry.

"Love?!" he shouted ane the bathroom door opened to reveal y/n.

His wide shoulders fell as he sighed. "Love I thought-"

She looked at him and walked towards her closet. Midway through, seokjin suddenly spoke out.

"I thought I was gonna lose you." she halted, tears again brimming her eyes. She sighed, wiping it and continuing her way towards her closet.

As she got dressed, she walked out of her closet to see seokjin spacing out while sitting on the bed. His head suddenly snapped towards her as she coughed.

"Y/N...." she then sat down on the corner of the bed and seokjin instantly scooted towards her, back hugging her. "I loved you."

She felt pain and sorrow creep up on her as she heard his words. She closed her eyes and placed her hand ontop of his.

"You loved me." she repeated. "You really did."

"Love are you l-leaving" she sighed, looking down as tears fell down.

"I am." her voice cracked as she spoke and her heart shattered as his grip loosened. "I n-need to."

"But I-I don't-" you stood up and saw him looking at you with pleading eyes. "I can't lose you yet-"

"But I want to be happy seokjin." she whined. "I want to be happy and selfish for once in my life."

"And in order to do that, I'd have to get away from you." seokjin sobbed as he covered his face with both his hands. "I'd have to let you go."

"But love," his voice also cracked as he began loudly sobbing. "I love you."

"You loved me seokjin." she then made her way towards him and cupped his cheeks. He looked at her with shining eyes as she bitterly smiled. "And you love her.

"I'm letting you go seokjin. Choose the right decision and that right decision is her. Love her more than how you loved me." she placed her lips on top of his as they moved in sync, tears mixing and hearts disconnecting.

They parted, their once solorful and happy relationship doing the same.

"but if you ever want come back, my love for you would still be there but of course it wouldn't be the same as it was before." she smiled. "It'll change too."
