"H-hyung—" jungkook sobbed as he called namjoon. "I-I don't know what to do anymore—"
"What? What are saying jeongguk?"
"Y/N. S-she's too hard to handle hyung I—" he sobbed harder, his fingers lacing onto his hair. "She can't move on and I-I don't know what to do anymore."
Tears welled up her eyes as she listened to her husband.
"Kook, she lost an unborn child. Of course it'd take time to move on. Especially because she was seven months in already. " namjoon soothingly said. "Aren't you hurt too?"
"I am. But that's also the problem. I have no one to comfort me. She can't comfort me because she thinks she's the only one hurting!" he silently shouted. "If only she wasn't that careless then we wouldn't lose our child!"
She cried, her tears falling and rolling down her cheeks as it silently fell down the carpet. She realized that she was indeed ignoring his feelings and she felt guilt and hatred.
hatred for her actions and herself.
💫
"Love? Aren't you going to eat?" he asked as he saw her pale and dull face.
"No. I'm fine koo. J-just keep eating okay?" she smiled and looked straight at him but despite the smile she showed, her eyes still told the same sad story.
"y/n, what's wrong?"
"Nothing." she smiled. "I should be asking you that." she stood up and headed towards him, kissing the top of his head as a stray tear left her eye.
She quickly stood straight and turned around, wiping the stray tear. She headed upstairs and changed as jungkook followed.
"Love? Where are you going?" he asked.
"Somewhere. I just need to buy something okay? I'll be back, I promise." she smiled and ran up to him, quickly wrapping her arms around his waist as she pecked his cheek. "I love you."
"I-I love you too."
She ran out, smile faltering and tears falling.
✨
After wiping away her tears, she rang the doorbell. Minutes passed and the door opened.
"Y/N?" Seokjin asked, brows furrowing as he saw her state. "Oh God what's wrong?" he quickly led her inside, caressing her back.
"Everything's wrong." Seokjin realized, heart full of sympathy and sadness. "I can't even comfort my own husband. I failed as a mother and as a wife."
Seokjin's eyes watered as he sat her shaking body down.
"I can't take it anymore." she buried her face on her hands as she sobbed. "I don't want this anymore."
"I-I've lost an unborn child already. I can't lose my husband too. I'd rather die than lose him—"
"Hey, hey noooo" he comforted as he carried her to his lap, comfortingly cradling her. "Cry it out..."
She clutched the small clothing her child was supposed to own in her hand as she cried like she never did before.
Someone finally comforted her and she wanted to get the best of it so that when she goes back home to her husband, she can try to be a good wife once again.
"My baby why did you have to leave mommy?" Seokjin's lips quivered as he tightly held her. "I didn't even get to hold you love."
"Y/N please calm down...."
She felt tired. Emotionally, physically and mentally. She felt her eyes slowly close as she fell into deep slumber.
—
"Jungkook, I understand you wanted to be comforted too." she heard as she slowly woke up, hearing seokjin and her husband talking. "But as a man, you could've comforted her first. She needed you more than anything else at this point kook. You should know that." seokjin said. "In that way, after you comfort her, she can return the act."
"Did you know what she told me when she came here crying?" jungkook stayed quiet as silent tear fell to his cheeks. "She told me that she failed as a mother and as a wife." seokjin sighed. "And that hurt me too kook. You weren't paying attention to her. You weren't letting her grieve over something that mattered so much to her."
"She was supposed to be a mother kook, of course she was thinking about the future. About how she'd hold her child and feed her. But then suddenly, it goes away. With no warning."
She hears footsteps near the bed and felt it sink beside her. Arms then engulfed her in a warm hug as he nuzzled his face on the crook of her neck.
She felt hot tears on it and she cried, not being to control her emotions. He tightened his hug as he cried harder, regret filling his body to the thought of his wife seeking comfort to one of his friends instead of running towards him.
"I love you." he cried. "I love you i love you i love you" he continued. "I'm so sorry love."
"I-I love y-you too."
