"Can I please speak with my dad?" Minji asked the lady who picked up the phone. She had tried calling her father on his cellphone, but he didn't pick up. She called him on his business phone, and he still did not pick up.
"I am sorry, Minji, but your father is in a meeting. Can I take a message?" Minji hung the phone up on the lady and threw her cellphone as she screamed out. "He's always busy!" she ran outside to where Jin was.
"I hate you!" She yelled at him. In all honesty, she didn't mean those words, she just wanted someone's attention, and Jin usually gave her all the attention she wanted, but her dad was supposed to come home yesterday, and he didn't, and it bothered her a whole lot.
"You ain't the only one, so it's all good. Did you get to complain to your dad about me as of yet?" Jin sipped on his wine as he looked at the little girl before him who had her hand on her hips as she glared at him.
"He didn't p-pick up." Minji broke down not being able to hold herself together any longer. Jin's heart broke immediately at the sight of Minji crying. As much as he tried being a tough one at times, he had a soft spot for the little girl. It's the main reason why he put up with the things he did, well, that and he knew the chances of him finding another job that paid as well as this one was slim to none.
"Come here, let Jinnie give you a hug. I wish you could have a glass of wine. It's usually the best remedy for heartbreak." Jin said as he pulled the little girl towards him.
"My heart breaks?" Minji questions as she feels her chest while continuing to cry.
"I don't know, but mine is. The guy I like is mad at me because I didn't go out with him yesterday and that's all because your father failed to come home like he promised he would. Now, I think my chances of being with this guy is not going to happen. Your father is a jerk sometimes, but a jerk who pays well." Jin patted Minji's back and took a sip of his wine.
"My dad is not a jerk Jinnie. He is busy, but he will come today or tomorrow, he promised." Minji said, looking up at Jin.
Jin shakes his head, "Sweetheart, you are only six, you have no idea how much lies men tell. He might be your father, but he is still a man, and all men do is lie!"
"Does that mean all you do is lie Jinnie?" Minji questions while wiping her eyes. Being in Jin's embrace was making her feel slightly better.
"I am a bottom sweetie, I was built differently, got too much estrogen to lie as those men do. I am too in touch with my feminine side. Your father, on the other hand, is too in touch with his masculine side, he is a top for sure."
"I don't understand what you mean Jinnie." Minji was looking up at Jin confused.
Jin let out a deep sigh, "Child, you have so much to learn. Anyway, I am like your appa. Your appa was able to give birth to you, but not your dad, it's weird. You are young, one day you will learn more."
"So does that mean you will die like my appa?" Minji question tears filling up in her eyes.
"Hold up, I don't have cancer and-." Jin realizes what he said and hugged Minji tighter, "I am sorry sweetheart what happened to your appa was unfortunate, but I am sure your dad will one day find you a new appa who will love you and care for you." Jin gave her a kiss on her forehead.
He couldn't wait to call her lying ass father and give him a piece of his mind. Wait, scrap that he couldn't do that he needed the job.
