"I didn't want it either."

"What?" Jin stopped eating and looked at Taehyung. Minji had fallen asleep, and the two had decided to have dinner together, Taehyung, in particular, to finish the conversation they were having earlier in the day.

"You asked me why I forgave you for having an abortion. I don't want this to sound wrong, but I am thankful that you had one, having another child is not something I could've handle back then. I could barely keep up with Minji as it is already. When she was a newborn, I would work late at the office to avoid coming home to her, crying. My husband wanted a child, but I never did, at least not then, he was very hands-on with her, I focused on my work to avoid the burden of being a parent to her.

I often think this is my punishment, you know. I questioned time and time again, why it wasn't me instead of him, but I guess this was the universe way of teaching me a lesson. Thinking back, I missed a lot out of her life due to my selfishness. That's why I can't blame you for doing what you did, truthfully, I probably would've requested for you to have one anyway back then, but if it were to be at a time like now, I think my thoughts would be different. Especially after realizing how much joy my daughter brings me. I guess you helped me to see it too.

Similar to how I depended on my husband to always be there and take care of Minji. I placed that burden on you too at the beginning, which wasn't right of me. I think that's the main reason why we never got along, you felt used, and I felt like you weren't doing enough, even when you were doing your best. I was an asshole, wasn't I?"

Taehyung had learned to face his demons and be honest with himself; he was learning that he got more out of life when he was honest. Pride had proven to do more harm than good to him, so he made a vow to rid himself of it to the extent that he could. He was considering that his prideful attitude was also causing pain to his daughter, who he is supposed to protect.

"Was?" Jin laughed and reached for the bottle of wine that was next to the table, but Taehyung reached for it first and pulled it away. "Let's not drink."

"If you want us to have this kind of conversation, I need to have a glass, so give it back." Jin reaches for it, but Taehyung pulls his hand back. "No, you don't. You are talking and listening just fine without it. Now, tell me, why did you get an abortion without talking to me first?"

Jin rolled his eyes and leaned back in his chair, "Is that the question?"

"It is." Taehyung placed the bottle of wine at his feet and resumed eating his food.

"We had sex one night, and you were an asshole. I see how you are with your daughter, what's was the point of bringing a child whose father wouldn't want him or her here." Jin picked at his food, avoiding to look at Taehyung.

"So I was the main reason why you got an abortion? This had nothing to do with you? Let's be honest with each other, Seokjin; I am asking because I want to know."

"You weren't the main reason. I had my reason, as well. Telling you wouldn't have changed my mind either. We should've never had sex without a condom, and that was a mistake I shouldn't have made. I don't know what got into me that night, and I never had sex willingly without a condom ever before. And- gosh, can you give me the wine, please?" Jin felt awkward talking to Taehyung about this.

"No, no wine. You don't need to drink to talk to me."

"Who are you to decide that?"

"No one, but because I care about you, I think your drinking habits are that of an alcoholic. Drinking does not solve your problems; you know that? It makes you feel good, but it doesn't take the problems away."

Jin throws his fork down on the table, "I don't care what it does or doesn't do, it's what I like. So give me the wine!" Jin reaches down to the floor and grabs the wine bottle before Taehyung could get it.

"Minji hates it when you drink."

"N-no, she doesn't," Jin said while looking at Taehyung in shock.

"She does, she has told me several times. She loves everything about you except that you drink."

"Stop fucking with me, you know that's not true."

"Why would I lie to you about that."

"I don't know the same reason why you are trying to stop me from drinking." Jin pops the wine open and pours some into his cup. He lifts the glass to his head, but he can't remove Taehyung's voice telling him that Minji does not like it when he drinks, so he puts the glass down and lets out a frustrating yell.

"I wished we talked to each other more than fight back then."

"You were a prideful asshole, so I doubt you could've helped yourself."

"I know, but you said some pretty insulting things to me as well. That day I came home to talk to you about us sleeping together, do you recall what you told me?"

"Of course I do. I told you it's sex; it happens all the time. If we had sex today, I would probably tell you the same thing, sex for me will always be just that, sex."

"Interesting, have you ever been in a relationship by chance?"

"Have you ever heard of a whore being in a relationship?"

Taehyung ran his hand over his face and leaned back in his seat, "Seokjin, I am sorry, it was shallow of me to call you that. Can you find it in your heart to forgive me?"

"I don't have one."

"What?" Taehyung looked at Jin, confused.

"A heart."

"Can you stop everyone has a heart. I don't want to play this game with you; I am asking you this seriously."

" I am answering you honestly, is this not what you want?"

"No, I want you to be real with me. Tell me what's going on in your mind."

"In my mind, right now, I just want to drink and go to bed."

"Since that's what you want to do, how about we stay here and talk until you can't talk anymore. Then I will walk you to your room."

Jin burst out laughing, "You are funny. You want to have sex with me, don't you?"

"Honestly, I don't. Considering sex is just sex to you, no, I don't."

Jin's face fell into a frown.
