"Daddy, I had a lot of fun today." Minji runs into her father's arms to tell him about the fun day she had with Jin as soon as he walked into the kitchen.

It was now three days since they were in London, and every day when Taehyung would come back to the hotel after finishing up his meetings and work, he would observe how Jin vanished as soon as he arrived. He was surprised today to find Jin standing in the kitchen, cooking.

After he had tried apologizing to Jin and overheard him and his daughter talking, he didn't push things, he allowed him to be. Every night he would make sure his daughter was good and even stayed up one night and watched movies with her.

"What did you do today?" Taehyung lifted her into his arms and spun her around, making her giggle. "We went to the pool and then after Jin took me outside to get more snacks. We had lunch and then we visited the pet store. I saw a bunny and wanted it, but Jin said no. Then I saw a really big dog, but Jin said no, so I didn't get any pets."

Taehyung heard Jin laugh, and he looked over to see him shaking his head. "Minji, I told you we can't bring those pets back with us, and I also told you that you have to get your father's permission first."

"So, daddy, can I get a pet when we go back?" Minji looked up at me with her pouted lips. I swear she believes this will help her to get her way, I am not even sure where she got this from, but she did it often, especially when she wanted something.

"I don't know, baby, I will have to think about it. Having a pet comes with a lot of responsibilities. You have to be able to take care of the pet. What do you think Jin, do you think she is ready for a pet?" Taehyung walked closer towards where Jin was standing and looked at him intently.

"Umm, I- I don't know. Minji, your father, is right; having a pet comes with a lot of responsibilities. I think you should wait until we are back home to think about having a pet, okay?" Jin looked at Minji the entire time he spoke, avoiding eye contact with Taehyung. He didn't even know why Taehyung had asked for his opinion.

Minji looked sad for a moment, but then she smiled at Jin, "Okay, fine. I am going to shower and then I will show you the pets I like. I want a bunny or a dog. " Minji wiggles out of her father's hold and runs off to her room.

"Don't you want to eat first?" Jin yells out to Minji, who was far too gone to hear him.

An awkward silence filled the room as Taehyung stood in front of him, looking directly at him. "Why are you looking at me like that?" Jin turns his back to Taehyung and resumed cooking.

"I am trying to understand you."

"What do you mean by that?" Jin turned and face Taehyung, he sounded as though he was offended by Taehyung's statement.

"When I first hired you, you were so free and vocal, not that I am asking you to be that right now, but you were a lot different, you had a completely different aura about you too, but lately you seem really sad. I don't know if I am part of the reason, but you have a look that doesn't look good on you. It bothers me to see you like this." Taehyung had been thinking about what to say to Jin since he had overheard the conversation between him and Minji, he had rehearsed how he would approach him, which was far from how he just approached him.

Jin smirks, "It bothers you to see me sad? Taehyung cut the crap, please. Listen, I am thankful you apologize, and I accept your apology, but let's not try to pretend you suddenly care about me. I am the same person you couldn't stand the sight of. I am the same heartless, selfish and reckless liar, you know, and let's not forget a w-whore too. I don't know what's your angle or what you are trying to do, but I am asking for you to stop. I am at my end, and I really can't take another repeat of your nonsense."

Taehyung could see the tears forming in Jin's eyes, and it made him feel like crap. The fighter Jin he used to know wasn't fighting with him, he could hear the tiredness in Jin's voice as he spoke. "Jin, I am truly sorry. I think we both said somethings to each other we shouldn't have and didn't mean-"

"I meant everything I said to you." Jin snaps at Taehyung.

"I don't believe it, and even if you did, I don't care. I mean it when I say it bothers me to see you sad. I don't know if this will mean anything to you, but I want you to know I don't blame you for getting an abortion, you did what you felt was right and I am okay with it. Honestly, I wasn't ready to be a father again. Us sleeping together without protection shouldn't have happened, but I also should not have ignored you as I did afterward.

I think so much has happened between us that we could literally stand here all night and go over pointing fingers trying to figure out who is wrong versus who is right, but I don't want to do that. I want us to start over, I don't know what's going on in your life right now, but I don't want to be apart of the reason why you are hurting. You mean a lot to Minji, and truthfully I like having you around with her, she looks to you as her appa, and I don't think I could ever find someone else who she's going to gravitate to as much as she has accepted you in her life."

Jin was chewing on the inside of his cheeks as Taehyung spoke. He didn't get why Taehyung was being the way he was, it makes him feel skeptic and concerned. "I still don't understand your reason for saying all these things to me, what is it that you want? I am here for Minji, aren't I?"

"Besides Minji, who else do you have that you care about? Or who besides her do you feel genuinely cares about you?"

"What are you getting at Taehyung?" Jin's eyes were blurred as tears fell out of them.

"Just answer the question, Jin."

"I don't have to answer that. It doesn't concern you." Jin gritted his teeth and turned his back to Taehyung.

"If I were to guess, I would say no one, only her isn't that right?"

"L-leave me alone, please."

"I can't do that, Jin."

"Why? what's your fucking problem." Jin spins back around to face Taehyung in anger.

"I want you to care about me, too, and I want to show you that I am capable of caring about you too. I want to be your friend, I am not asking to be anything more, I want to be your friend, someone who you can talk to when you are feeling sad or down."

"You don't give a shit about me. How do you go from hating me to now wanting to care about me? " Jin snorted and rolled his eyes at Taehyung's hypocrisy.

"That's not true. I know it might be hard for you to believe, but I don't hate you, and if you give me a chance for us to be friends, I can prove that to you."

"Why? Why do you want to do that?"

"If I tell you the truth, you are not going to believe me," Taehyung says, letting out a deep sigh.

"Okay, don't tell me then." Jin shakes his head walks away from Taehyung. His evening had turned out to be an exhausting one.

"It's because I like you."

Jin stopped and glared at Taehyung, "Okay, now you are just lying."

"Told you, you wouldn't believe me."
