Ch//18 I Should Have Never Went To That Stupid Party

So I never ended up meeting with Brynn, I actually stayed home in bed and slept. Hearing about your mother committing suicide is just...that.

So normal I would try and get my mind off of it, but that usually never works. The only person that could help get my mind off things was Johnny, but of course I had to go and reck everything. So I'm stuck here with no one. Talking to myself.

Which I now realize, is actually kind of weird. I feel like I've cried the most I could, so crying more after finding this out just hurts too much.

So instead of sopping, alone, I tried to get a hold of anyone. Like anyone at all, I can't stand being alone anymore.

Something about it, is just..lonely. Know what I mean?

First people I tried, Brynn and Maddie, but no answer. I tried reaching out to Maddie's friends but they were a no go also. Brynn's friends were my friends, so trying some more people was the only option.

Hayden, no answer. Asher, no answer. Jayden, no answer. Carson, no answer. It went on like this until finally, Annie answered.

"Hey Kenzie!"

"Hey..why are you so happy?"

"No reason, I'm just hanging with friends"

"Oh really? Who? Maybe I can come tag along. My life is pretty boring right now"

Who could she possibly be with? Wasn't nobody answering their phones.

"I'm with Asher and Isaak"

Right! I almost forgot about Isaak.

"That's great. I've been trying to get a hold of people, but no one seems to be near their phone"

"No worries Kenz. Come to my house, we're just chilling"

"Okay. I'm on my way"

I knocked, and waited about three seconds for the door to open. "Kenzie!" Annie threw her arms around me. "Welcome" she gestured me inside. Something about this..she was hiding something.

I played off her suspicion, and continued to walk inside.

Once I reached the end of the hallway, I saw more than just Isaak and Asher.

Literally half the people I was trying to get in touch with, were here. Like seriously!

What were they trying to do?...

"Uh..what is this?" I turned around to Annie, eyebrow furrowed, wondering why everyone is here.

Wait..what if their starting a cult!

"Oh, right. Well I'm kind of hanging with more than just Isaak and Asher now" I nodded my head. "Yeah, I'm having another party. I had just got these really cool smoke dispensers—"

"I get it. Your having a party, more people showed up" she nodded her head and smiled, then went back over to the couch and sat on Asher's lap.

Where by the way, everyone else was at.

I'm probably going to guess that Asher bought her the smoke dispensers. He apparently started buying her a lot of stuff. She doesn't even wear the Annie necklace I had made for her on Christmas.

Speaking of...I had looked down at my hand. I'm literally just now realizing that I am still wearing the promise ring Johnny gave me.

Which had me thinking about all the other stuff, like how he beat the crap out of Hayden on Christmas Day.

"Okay! I'll go start the music. People will be here anytime now" Annie said, snapping me out my thoughts.

I had just saw Brynn come in from the front door, she had the weirdest smile on her face.

I thought that until..

"Hey, Kenz" Johnny said coming in after her, looking down and rubbing the back of his neck.

Great. And here comes the feelings again.
