I woke up to the sun shining directly in my face. I rubbed my eyes and looked around.

Shit.

Johnny was in my bed.

We were clothe-less.

Are you serious?! Stupid Ziegler.

I slowly got out the bed and put my clothes back on. "You going somewhere?"

Crap.

"Uh, Yeah. I need to see Brynn" I said while finding a random shoe to put on. Come to think of it, I haven't seen her since yesterday after the funeral. "Oh, cool. She had a really nice service yesterday"

Still refraining from looking at him, I answered. "Mhm" he always looked so good when he was just waking up.

Wait. Why am I ditching? This is my house!

"Kenz" damn it. Goosebumps appeared all over my skin. I stopped where I was, which was right in front of my door. "Yeah?" I said looking down.

"Come here" I hate myself for listening.

But really..can you blame me? He's hot!

I turned around slowly and gazed at him. He really was the best looking when just waking up.

I walked over to him and he pulled me down to meet with his lips. He was so warm. I just wanted to cuddle with him all day.

But we all know..my heart and brain speak differently.

"Okay okay, I gotta go" I said into the kiss.

He kissed me one last time then let me go. "See you later princess"

I went downstairs and saw Maddie eating yogurt at the counter. She stared at me and smiled. Then she started making kissing noises. I rolled my eyes.

"Stop it. I was never here. You saw, nothing. Goodbye" she started laughing as I walked out the house.

God damn it Orlando, I fell for you again.

I knocked on Brynn's door and waited a couple of seconds before Hunter opened it. I was surprised to say the least. I definitely did not think they were going to last.

"Hey..Hunter?"

"Come on in Kenzie" I walked past him. Justin, or Jasper, whatever that guy's name was. He was sitting on the couch in the living room drinking beer.

Well..I guess that's one way to cope with loss.

"Hey uh, is Brynn up?"

"Yeah. I think. She hasn't really moved from her bed since she got home"

Poor baby. I feel so bad.

"So she's just been cooped up in her room?"

"No, not her room. Her mom's room" wow. I just..I don't know. I just feel really bad for her. This shouldn't have happened.

"Have you tried to get her out?"

"Plenty of times. She just won't budge"

"I bet I can get her up"

"I really doubt that."

"I'm her best friend. You shouldn't"

I went upstairs to Ashlee's room, or what used to be her room, and saw Brynn laying down facing the window.

I knocked on the door frame lightly. "Brynnie?" I said softly. "How are you doing?" I walked in slowly. She had tears dried on her face, and I'm pretty sure she was still wearing the same clothes from yesterday.

"It's Kenzie. Your best friend" she still didn't move from her position. "Told you" I turned my head and saw Hunter leaning on the door with his arms crossed. "No. I got this"

I looked into her eyes as I walked in front of her and kneeled on the floor. Her eyes were bloodshot, probably from all the crying. "Hey Bry" I pushed her hair out her face and rubbed her cheek.

She was not in good shape.

"Aren't you hungry? Maybe you want to look at something other than the window huh?" Still, no movement. Guess we'll have to do this the hard way.

I got up and went into the bathroom. I grabbed a small towel and ran in it hot water. I went back over to Brynn and wiped her face. I got up and pulled her arms to where she was sitting up, but she slouched over.

"Come on Brynn, you have to work with me here" she just grunted at me.

"Did she just?" Hunter nodded his head and laughed. "Well don't just stand there Hunter, help me"
