Ch//34 I'm Not Leaving

I sat nervously next to Maddie and the two other girls, waiting for the doctor to come out and tell us if he was okay or not.

A few minutes later that's exactly what happened. I stood up immediately once he arrived in the room. Right as the doctor came in, so did Johnny's parents and sister. I turned my head and they came up to the doctor.

"Johnny Orlando?"

"That's us" his mom said. We called his family Incase they decided to finally give a crap about him. "He's okay. His leg is just fractured. It'll be a few more minutes until the antibiotics wear off. I'll let you see him once it has"

I let out a sigh of release and sat back down. His mom, dad, and Lauren sat across the hall from the rest of us. Not even saying a word.

Once that few minutes passed, his family was allowed first. But when they were done they left immediately. I honestly couldn't believe it. Did they seriously not care about him at all?

I went in second. A smile plastered on my face once I saw him up, gazing out window. "Hey.." I said softly, trying not to disturb him. "Hey beautiful" I blushed at his comment.

I sat down next to him, admiring his view of vulnerability. "I'm glad your okay"

"Yeah..me too"

"You don't look to happy. What's wrong?" I asked concerned. "Well considering I got hit by a car.."

"Right. Stupid question.." it was silent for a few seconds.

"You know..I haven't changed my mind Kenz" I looked up from my hands. "About?"

Please don't say what I think your about to say.

"We need a break.."

Damn it!

"What?" My voice quivered. "You need to live your life, make sure you get into the college you want to—"

"Your seriously telling me to focus on college right now? Johnny..I'm not making any plans in my life unless their with you. And you need to understand that. I love you and I'm not going anywhere"

I could see a smile forming on his lips, but he immediately made it disappear. "Visiting hours are almost up sweetie" one of the female doctors came into the room and told me.

"Okay" I said politely and she walked away. "See..you should go Kenz"

"You actually want me to leave?"

"...no.."

"Then let me stay. I'll hide somewhere. I don't want to leave you"

"Yes. I mean no. You can't stay. You need to leave. I'll be perfectly fine without you"

It really hurt to hear him talk like this. I know he's only doing it because he thinks it's what's best for me, but that's what I decide. Not him.

I got up from the seat and walked to the door. "I'll be back tomorrow. You can't get rid of me" I walked out the door and back to my sister. "He's okay?"

"Mhm. Let's go home"

"What? You didn't want to stay longer?"

"Can't. Visiting hours are almost up. I'm coming back tomorrow at nine"

"Okay. Let's go then"

"Guess who's back?" I said lightly as I walked into the room Johnny was staying in. "Really Kenz?" I smiled, despite the fact that he didn't want me here. I was going to make sure he had me, for the rest of his life if I have too.

"Yup. I told you I would be back" the doctor came to the door. "You need anything Mr. Orlando?"

"Yeah, you guys gotta stop letting her come in here" the doctor laughed. "He's joking Miss. He thinks it's what I need. But I'm the only one that gets to decide that"

"Okay, well I'll leave you two alone then" the doctor walked off. I hit Johnny's arm a little. "What was that for?"

"You being an asshole. Why are you trying to make me leave so bad?"

"Because you shouldn't be here with me. It's not good. For you, not for me"

"I have some bad news for you then John"

"Oh, delightful"

"I'm not going anywhere" he rolled his eyes and smirked. "We're not together anymore. So you don't have to do this. I don't want you here"

"Too bad. Cause you got me"
