Feeling the kiss on her lips Connie's eyes widened before slowly closing to enjoy the moment more.

Steven couldn't help but continue the kiss seeing the reaction she had. He made it more passionate letting out all the held in feelings that he has been having for Connie these last few months into the sweet kiss knowing he has been wanting to do this for a long time.

Connie moved in closer almost leaning against Steven's body feeling like she wasn't going to be able to stop herself. The kiss was passionate enough to get a small moan to escape her mouth. This caused the monitors to beep since Steven's heart rate had gone up slightly. She wanted to pull away hearing the sounds but Steven had moved his hand to the back of her neck to keep her close. Her skin tingled lightly from the touch and lust slowly filled her mind. Her body slowly moved to be kneeling on the bed as this point letting the passionate kiss continue.

Steven used his other arm to guide Connie over his body to have her sitting in his lap. 'What am I doing?' He thought to himself. 'I just wanted a kiss but now... Now I want more.'

Connie blushed deeply when she was able to finally broke away from the kiss. "Wow... That was.." She giggled getting really hot.

"Intense." Steven pants lightly trying to get his heart rate to go down. "That was my first kiss." He blushed admitting to it.

"Same here." Connie couldn't help but giggle again. Her mind was racing with thoughts of the kiss. She wondered what would have happened if they didn't stop. Would Steven keep going? Would she have accidentally hurt him trying to get closer to his touch? She looked down realizing that she had moved herself onto Steven's body, straddling over his lap. "Oh!! Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry, let me move."

"No, it's okay." Steven rubbed her back gently. "You don't have to move. It's kinda cold in here I wouldn't mind the body heat." He chuckled nervously. He didn't want her to get off just yet. The feeling of lust still in the back of his mind.

"You're trying too hard." Connie leans her head on his shoulder enjoying the gentle back rub. She could tell that he wanted her to stay for a different reason but she didn't know what it was. "So... You wouldn't mind trying to date for a while, would you?"

"Of course not. It's not like I haven't been wanting to do this for a long time now. And if it doesn't work out we can always go back to being friends... Right?" Steven looked at Connie frowning slightly. He didn't want to ruin what they had already.

"Of course Steven, it's not like we are going to be horrible to each other. We're just putting on a different label to the relationship we already have." Connie smiled kissing his cheek.

"A label?" Steven raised an eyebrow confused.

"Yeah, like before the kiss we were just friends. But now we're friends that love each other. We're boyfriend and girlfriend in romantic terms." Connie smiled.

"Ohhhh, that's why there are different meanings to those words." Steven chuckled.

Connie giggled. "You're such a goof."

"But now I'm your good." Steven smirked lightly.

"My cute goof." Connie leans in to kiss Steven on the lips.

Mrs. Maheswaran clears her throat making Connie yelp lightly.

"Mom?!" Connie looked over with a look of shock on her face. She then frowns getting worried about what her mother was looking at.

"So, how long has this been going on?" Mrs. Maheswaran asked as she folds her arms.

"Uh... Just now actually." Steven looked nervous. "I promise that I won't do anything else  We were just kissing and holding hands anyways."

Mrs. Maheswaran tapped her foot on the floor before sighing out softly. "Connie, I know I've been pestering you a lot about relationships lately. But I know you will behave yourself and be safe too. At least it's with someone you know well, so I'm not too worried about this. You two get along well enough that I can see why you would want to start dating. I just didn't think that it would take this long for you to break the ice Universe. Just be safe, okay?"

"Yes, ma'am." Connie smiled softly as her mother turned and left again closing the door.

"Be safe? What was she talking about?" Steven asked. "Is dating going to be dangerous?"

"Um... Did your Dad ever tell you about the birds and the bees, Steven?" Connie asked a little curious.

"Birds and the bees.... Ohhh. Yeah my Dad told me about that stuff when I turned 18. He even gave me a box of condoms as a gag gift...." Steven blushed deeply. "Y-your Mom thinks that we're going to have sex?!"

"No!" Connie rubbed her thumb across his cheek. "She just wants us to be safe when we do eventually have it. Because you do know what will happen if we aren't safe, right?"

Steven sighs softly. "That's a relief... I mean, not that I wouldn't want to have sex with you. I mean! Yeah I totally know what happens!" He looked away nervously.

Connie blushed deeply hearing what he just said. "....Well, why not."

"Why not what?" Steven looked over.

"Why not? We've basically have known each other for five years now, soon to be six next Summer. So what if we just started dating, the word date is just letting everyone around us know that we're more than just friends. We're lovers." Connie smiled softly as she lifts her hand to caress Steven's face. "And I love you, Steven."

"I love you too." Steven smiled softly kissing her again. He breaks the kiss one more time. "So you really want to do it? You want me to have sex with you?"

"Well..." Connie lowered her hands. "You're in the hospital... Maybe we should wait until you can go back home, and 100% better." Connie ran her hand through his hair. "That way we can be alone for real."

"I think I can manage but you're probably right. We should wait." He leans back into the bed getting comfortable. "I can slowly feel my energy coming back to me."

"That's great, my mom is probably wanting you to get better as quickly as possible. She's not a fan of having patients stay at the hospital for a long period of time unless it's extremely serious." Connie rolled her eyes as she slowly laid down with him. "Why don't you get some sleep, I'm gonna join you." Connie yawns softly rubbing her eyes. "Today has been so exhausting, and it's only been a few hours."

"Yes, yes it has." Steven smiled closing his eyes. He wrapped his arms around her the best he could before falling asleep easily.
