Connie finally gets Steven down the stairs and helped him into the bathroom. "Do you want any help?"

"I'm still deciding on if I want to sit or stand." Steven slowly slipped his pink jacket off.

"Well, whatever you choose I'll be right here for you." Connie smiled sitting down on the toilet seat.

Steven smiled softly at her. "You won't get uncomfortable seeing me naked?"

Connie shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know yet. Maybe if you take a bath you could drape a towel over yourself."

Steven thought for a moment. He looked at the bathroom. It had been remodeled since he had outgrown the dated look when he was younger. It was larger with a stand-up shower separated from the new soaker tub. "Let's do a bath then." He undid his jeans and lowered them to the ground, taking off his flip-flops as well before walking over to the tub to start up the water. "Should I make it hot or cold?"

"I'm not sure, are you aching or just sweaty?" Connie asked.

"I guess it's more of a clean myself moment." Steven made the water medium, not too hot and not too cold. "Perfect." He chuckled lightly taking off his blue shirt with a yellow star in the middle. "Don't stare." He looked over chuckling again, reaching down to his boxers and takes them off.

Connie blushed deeply looking down at the floor. "I'm not!" She giggled.

Steven slowly gets into the tub and sat down in the rising water with a sigh of relief. He reached over next to him and grabbed a washcloth on the small towel rack, placed it into the water over his member to cover himself. "You can look now." He smiled leaning back.

Connie looked up. "If you need anything just ask, okay?"

"Yeah.." Steven sighs softly looking up at the ceiling thinking of Spinel. "... Pink Diamond's playmate..."

"You still thinking about that gem?" Connie stood up and moved over to the side off the tub before kneeling down beside it.

"Yeah, I mean... It is just so frustrating that I don't have any of my mom's or Pink's memories... I wish there was just some way to get them all back." Steven looked down at his Gem.

"... Do you think that's a wise thing to do?" Connie asked.

"What do you mean?" Steven looked up a little confused.

"Well... Think about it. Most of their memories are just going to be about the Earth and the war. Pink's will consist of her life on Homeworld. Rose's will be of the war and her life with Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl, even your dad. I think the memories of your dad aren't needed." Connie giggled.

"That would make sense. I don't feel like remembering their personal love life... In detail." Steven laughs.

"Oh you're so gross." Connie playfully hits his arm. "It's okay to not have their memories Steven, cause you don't need them. You're you and nothing more."

Steven nods. "If there was just a way for me to get a hold of a memory, just for a moment I would be happy."

"You want to remember Spinel don't you?" Connie asked.

"I want to at least know why Pink would just leave her there. It's been thousands of years." Steven frowns.

"I get it." Connie frowns too. "But you have to realize that she is a gem, even if she wasn't on Earth to be corrupted the gems that did escape back to Homeworld are still able to be corrupted, like Jasper."

Steven nods. "That's most likely what happened to her. Being alone for so long. The look in her eyes didn't seem normal did they?"

Connie shakes her head no. "She's going to be dangerous Steven, that's why I want you to get better."
