Steven was sitting happily next to Connie. He looked over his shoulder hearing the computer sound off an alarm. "Huh? That's the signal for another gem spotting."
"We should just let the others handle it after they get back from another call. They left for it while you were sleeping." Connie looked over at him.
Steven nodded slowly but curiosity was getting to him. "I at least have to see where it is. To make a mental note." He stood up slowly holding a hand to his stomach as he made his way back upstairs.
"Steven.." Connie groaned out a little annoyed that he wouldn't relax. She followed quickly.
Steven gets to the computer and pressed a few buttons on it looking a bit confused. "That's weird, didn't Peridot shoot up one of her gem scanners into space to run a few tests on some of the forgotten colonized planets a few months ago?" Steven asked.
"I remember something like that, why?" Connie asked walking over.
"Cause I'm getting information back from it about a gem being on a planet or something that is out there." Steven frowns softly pulling up the data from the scanner probe. It pulled up several photos that it took on its journey. He shuffled through the photos seeing a platform like area that was surrounded by a dome. "Whoa, look at this place. The Diamonds have definitely been here. Look at all the structures and plants."
"Well, what's left of them. This place doesn't look like it's been seen in hundreds maybe thousands of years." Connie looked at the photos with him. She stopped his hand. "Wait go back one."
Steven nods and shifted back to the previous photo. It was a moon that had an extremely large injector on it along with a hole in the shape of a heart cut out of the center. "Oh wow... Someone was actually made from there..."
"Let's keep looking." Connie suggested.
Steven continues to shift through the photos. There was a broken-down Warp Pad on top of a set of decaying cracked stairs. A fountain that was falling apart but still had water in it. Columns with dead flowers and vines wrapped around them. And a Gem Communication Device Pedestal that didn't seem to work anymore. "This place was some sort of greenhouse. There are so many dead plants and gross around." He shuffled to one of the few last photos taken and gasps seeing the silhouette of a figure standing in the grass. "Connie there's a gem here!"
"She must have been abandoned and trapped there." Connie frowns.
Steven switched to the last photo. It showed an evil look in the gems' eye. He gulped lightly. "I don't like that look."
"How come that was the last one?" Connie asked.
"Uh..." Steven pressed a few more buttons on the keyboard trying to figure that out. ".... The probe was destroyed.." He looked over at Connie. "About five seconds after this last photo was taken."
Connie looked a little uncomfortable. She looked over her shoulder seeing the Warp Pad light up.

Peridot appeared with Lapis behind her. "STEVEN! Something destroyed my scanner that I sent into space!" She yelled.
Lapis folds her arms. "I told her she was overreacting. It probably just hit a meteor or broke on its own."
"As if! My design for that machine was perfect and flawless! It would be able to maneuver around anything that was coming at it with deadly intent. And I equipped it with a laser strong enough to break anything in its path." Peridot glared up at Lapis.
"Guys we already know. And this is who destroyed it." Steven looked back at the screen showing them the last photo that was taken.
Peridot walked over furious. "What?! How dare that gem clod destroy my hard work!... Wait a minute.. a gem off of Earth that is on a colonized planet...?"
