It's A Party!

Steven thought silently to himself for a moment before getting a great idea. He looked over at the Temple door seeing Garnet coming back with Bismuth and Pearl. "Guys, I just came up with a great idea to help us all relax and have a good time."

"What is it, Steven?" Pearl asked.

"We're all going to have a slumber party!" Steven smiled.

"That actually sounds really fun." Connie smiled with him.

"What's a slumber party?" Spinel asked.

"A slumber party, or known as a pajama party or sleepover, is an event held by a host, which would be Steven. Friends get to come over to your home dressed up in their favorite pajamas, which are clothing that humans wear while they sleep. I've never been to one but I heard from a girl at school that she had games, snacks, they did makeovers, and watched TV." Connie explained loud enough for the Gems to hear.

Bismuth nods her head to the idea. "That does sound like a good time. Let's do it."

"Should we get Peridot and Lapis to join us?" Steven asked.

Bismuth gestured at the Warp Pad. "I can go back to New Homeworld to see what they think about it. But I wouldn't count on them showing up."

Steven nods. "Okay, you can go get them. Everyone else will help set up for the party. Connie, can you and Spinel get all of my fluffy blankets and as many pillows as you can find?"

Connie nods walking over to Spinel. She gently takes her hand leading her upstairs. "They should be in the closet."

"Guys, I know it's going to be a little difficult for you to decide on this but you're going to have to change your clothes into something pajama-like." Steven went to pull his phone out of his pocket. "Huh? I must have left it upstairs. Connie!? Can you grab my phone for me?!"

"Yeah!" Connie yelled down from the top of the stairs. She walked over to the headboard of the bed and grabbed the phone.

Spinel takes it quickly. "I got this." She laughs playfully and stretched her arm out. It traveled all the way down the stairs and even made a loop before laying the phone down on the table.

Steven blinked in surprise seeing the stretchy arm. "Whoa!" He laughs picking the phone up.

"That has got to be the coolest thing ever." Amethyst was actually impressed with Spinel's unique ability with her body.

"You're welcome!" Spinel yelled down the stairs.

Steven's heart filled with joy hearing Spinel's happiness. He started typing on his phone and handed it over to Pearl. "Here, this website has a bunch of different pajama styles. You guys can take turns looking at the different types and decide on what you want to wear."

"Alright." Pearl was able to use Steven's phone easily since she had one of her own for four years now.

"You're getting really good at using that thing, P. must be all of those back and forth messages from that girl all those years ago." Amethyst elbowed Pearl jokingly making her blush.

"Oh yeah! I remember that night. What was her name? S... S..?" Steven tried to think. "Uh... I don't think I ever learned her name."

Pearl clears her throat. "If you must know then yes I have been learning about the usage of the cellphone lately due to my messaging to Starr."

"Her name is Starr? How ironic is that?" Amethyst laughs with a snort.

"Pearl you should invite her." Steven smiled. "I wouldn't mind meeting her again."
