Steven Universe: The Good, The Bad, The Destiny

This Is Happening, Now.

Steven opened his eyes slowly. He sat up looking down at Connie. "Hey, you asleep?" He whispered. When she didn't answer he slowly pushed himself up off the bed and looked down at his gem. 'I was able to move quickly before.... do I have some of my powers?' He thought to himself. He did recently within the year discover the new ability to move quickly in times of danger or concerning situations. He lifted his hand up slowly in front of him and grunts lightly trying to focus his energy into forming his shield. He sighs softly in relief that some of it came into view. "That's a start." He chuckled lightly before looking over his shoulder hearing Connie groan in her sleep. 'Lets get out of here before she wakes up.' He stood up and made his way all the way to the communication room. "Okay." He pulled up the photos of his mother's garden looking at them one by one. "Come on Pink, I know you're hiding something from me. Why don't you just tell me." He looked over at the Warp Pad staring at it silently for a moment before turning his attention back to the computer screen. He pulled up the image of the gardens Warp Pad. "The structure is cracking... But are you still working?" He spoke softly to himself before walking over to the Warp Pad. "Pink, give me enough energy to warp to the garden." He stepped onto the pad and closed his eyes trying to focus on where he wanted to go. "Take me to the garden." He throws his arms out to the sides of his body making the Warp Pad activate.

A beam of light shines brightly around Steven. He opened his eyes looking around seeing that he made it all the way to the abandoned garden. "Haha! Yes!" He smiled excitedly. "I can't believe this thing still works." He stepped off the pad and walked to the edge of the staircase. "Whoa." Everything looked just like the photos taken. "Okay, now to find Spinel." He made his way down the stairs. Suddenly a sharp pain came to his stomach causing him to bend over feeling uneasy. "Ngh! What?!" He looked down worried. "What is it?" He asked taking a few more steps down before another wave of pain hit him. He groans out then gasps when he bent too far and rolled the rest of the way down the stairs grunting with each hard hit until he landed on the flat ground. "Ow...." He laid there for a moment.

".... Are you okay?" A female voice asked.

Steven groans holding a hand to his head as he sat up. "Huh?" He looked over his shoulder seeing a pink gem with an upside-down heart-shaped cut. "... Spinel?" He asked.

"How do you know my name?" Spinel answers looking a bit confused. "No one should know who I am so why do you!?" She yelled angrily.

Steven stood up. "Wait, I can explain everything if you just give me a chance."

Spinel narrowed her eyes. "Have I seen you before?..."

Steven frowns lightly. "I... I don't think we have ever met, but you did know my mom." He slowly lifted his shirt to show her his gem. "This is going to be hard to explain but I'm Pink Diamond."

Spinel yells out and throws a hard punch at Steven hitting him in the face.

Steven grunts taking the hit. "Ngh... What the hell?" He looked up only to be kicked into the wall. He coughs roughly landing on his hands and knees. He coughs into his hand seeing blood. "Spinel?!"

Spinel grabbed him by his shoulders lifting him back up against the wall.

Steven yelps out holding up his hands in defense. "No!"

"You left me!!" Spinel yelled making her fist grow in size before throwing another punch at Steven.

Steven grunts summoning up a broken shield that took part of the hit. "Stop!" He yelled out. He slipped his arms out of his jacket dropping to the ground. "Spinel please just listen to me!" He coughs roughly into his hand.

Spinel growls lightly under her breath standing down for the moment.

"Look, I know what my mother did to you!" Steven puts a hand onto his gem feeling an extreme amount of pain. "She left you here. You've been stuck here for 6,000 years. All alone for so long... It hurts. You're in pain from the neglect."

Spinel frowns looking down at the ground. "You act like you don't know anything."

"That's because I don't. I may have Pink Diamonds gem but I don't have any of her memories. I don't know anything about her life. I don't know anything about you." Steven frowns lightly.

Spinel glared up. "Then why are you here!?" She yelled.

"I came to save you." Steven grunts lightly standing up. "You smashed one of my friends' robots. It took a photo of you before it was destroyed."

"That thing tried to hurt me! It fired something at me!" Spinel yelled.

"Its okay, you were just scared. It was something you probably have never seen before." Steven slowly walked over to her. "I'm just here to help you."

Spinel growls and pulled out a rod from her gem. She pressed a button and it transformed into a scythe.

Steven stepped back not knowing what the weapon did. "Whoa, take it easy. We don't have to fight."

"I'm going to do to you what I can never do to Pink." Spinel giggled evilly. She raised her arm high in the air swinging the blade down at Steven.

"AHH!" Steven yelled out dodging to the side. He started to run up the stairs towards the Warp Pad. "Spinel stop!"

Spinel followed Steven quickly and swiftly thanks to her really flexible and rubber-like body. She stood at the top of the stairs. "What's the matter Steven? Running back to your friends?!" She yelled out swinging the blade down at him.

Steven falls back down the stairs landing on his back roughly. He groans sitting up onto his arms. "Please, you don't have to do this. We can work things out." He puts a hand onto his jacket gripping it lightly.

"Why?! So that I can live my miserable existence not having my best friend around anymore! Pink is gone cause of your body, I know all about your story. I saw the galaxy-wide message years ago. Steven Universe, formally known as Pink Diamond. Savior of the universe and the guy who is the most forgetful being known to exist." Spinel jumped up into the air. "Just drop dead already!" She swung down the blade.

Steven pushed himself to roll down the next set of stairs. He yells out landing in a bush. 'This is bad. No one knows that I'm here. I'm doomed unless I get back to the Warp Pad. She won't be able to follow me back to Earth since she's never been there.' he grunts standing up from the bush putting his jacket back on. "You plan on killing me?!" He looked over at Spinel.

"That's right! I'll have my revenge on Pink Diamond as soon as you're dead!" Spinel charged at him swinging the blade around rapidly.

'Pink, give me enough energy to get us home.' Steven thought to himself again running straight at Spinel. He grunts doing the best he could do to dodge the attacks. His speed increased catching Spinel off guard. He jumped up the staircase landing straight on the Warp Pad. He laughs lightly activating it taking himself home.

Spinel glared over her shoulder. "You can run, but I will get you!" She yelled.
