Steven blinked his eyes slowly opened. He was laying in his bed with a bandage wrapped around his head. "Ngh... Can someone bring me some water?" He asked loud enough so someone could hear him. He smiled softly sitting up in his bed holding the back of his head. "Oh my god." He groans out.

"Steven, please be careful honey. You had a really nasty fall." A wonderful voice is heard.

Steven blinked a few times in confusion before looking up. "M-mom?!"

Rose walked over with a glass of water and knelt down to the floor. "Yes, darling?" She handed over the glass of water.

Steven looked around in a panic. "Am i in your room?"

"No, you're I your room. Steven, you hit your head really hard. You were unconscious for a few days now." Rose smiled.

"But... How am I... You..." Steven held his head more.

"Greg, can you give me a hand?" Rose called out.

Greg rushed upstairs. "What's going on?" He asked.

"He's not really responding well to what I am saying." Rose frowns. "Maybe his head injury is worse."

"Steven, what's bothering you?" Greg asked sitting on the bed.

Steven had no idea what was going on. He knew that he couldn't exist without his mother giving up her form to have him. He noticed that her gem was on her stomach. This caused him to lift up his shirt to see nothing on his stomach. "I... I don't know?"

"Why don't you have some water and I'll bring you something to eat." Rose handed Greg the glass and walked back down the stairs.

"Dad?... How am i here?" Steven asked.

"What do you mean? You hit your head and we couldn't drive you to the hospital cause of the snowstorm so Rose decided it was best to take care of you at home." Greg holds out the glass of water to Steven.

"No, I mean..." Steven hears what his dad said and looked outside his sliding glass door seeing that it was snowing. "Um... I meant like... How was I born?"

"Why do you want to know that right now?" Greg asked.

"Just tell me please." Steven narrowed his eyes.

"Okay, geez persistent much. Nineteen years ago your mother sat down with me to discuss that she wanted a baby. She explained to me that she couldn't physically have one cause her life we cease to exist. So we decided to get a surrogate." Greg sets the water down on the side table and held up a photo of a random woman holding her pregnant stomach with Greg and Rose hugging her. "It took us a few months to find someone in Beach City that would help us out with this. Then one day Maggie here came out of nowhere and she agreed to help us out and let me conceive you. She lived with us for nine months, then bam, you were born."

Steven takes the photo and stared at it for a while. "I... Wow... Um... Can you get Garnet for me?"

"Okay, whatever you want Schtu-Ball." Greg ruffled Steven's head. He stood up going to the stairs.

Rose smiled softly kissing Greg's forehead as they passed each other on the stairs. "Here Steven, a lovely Apple Strawberry Candied Walnut Salad." She set it down on his lap.

"Wow, this looks amazing." Steven smiled softly. He looked back up at his mother with questions still flooding his mind. "Garnet." Steven smiled softly.

"Yo, glad to see that you're finally awake." Garnet smiled walking over.

Rose giggled. "Her visions are a little rusty. She saw that you would be unconscious for months and you wouldn't wake up until next year."
