Connie let's out a loud sigh of relief as she finished her story. She looked up at her mother waiting for a response.

"I'm slowly starting to regret ever letting you hang out with his boy." Mrs. Maheswaran sighs as she finished patching up Steven's shoulder. She wrapped it up and even wrapped it securely around his body. "There, if this boy even dares to try and move his arm he'll have to cut himself free."

"Thanks for all the help. I'll pay you for your time." Greg looked over at her.

"No need, your kid loves my sweet girl. Might as well get used to something like this." Mrs. Maheswaran smiled softly. "But please, Connie, make sure he doesn't get hurt again. I would like to go home."

"It's okay Mom. I promise to keep him safe and taken care of." Connie smiled looking down at Steven. 'I'll do whatever it takes to keep you safe.' She thought to herself.

"I'll take you home now." Greg chuckled standing up.

"Please do." Mrs. Maheswaran stood up from her spot. "Connie try to come home and get a change of clothes. You've been wearing the same clothes for days, plus you're covered in blood."

Connie looked at the bloodstain on her white shirt. "Hmmm." She thought for a moment. "Why don't I take you home on Lion. That way I can get clean clothes." She smiled.

"I guess that could work." Mrs. Maheswaran sighs softly walking down at the stairs.

Greg pets Steven's head with a small smile. "Get some rest Schtu-ball." He walked over to the stairs. "You better get going before your Mom gets upset." He chuckled.

Connie giggled. "You're probably right." She agreed and follows him downstairs.

Steven slowly opened his eyes with a soft groan. His head was spinning from the blood loss from his arm. He looked down seeing that his arm was wrapped to his body. "What? Really?" His voice sounded like his again. He grunts using what little strength he had and pushed himself up with his left arm. He gasps lightly feeling something cold in his hand. "Oh, it's just you. Sorry if that hurt." He smiled apologizing to Spinel in his hand. "I wonder how long it's going to take you to come back? Will you look the same too?" He asked before laughing lightly. "I'm talking to a gem." He hugged Spinel close. "If you can hear me, take as long as you want. I'll be here waiting for you." He laid back down with a sigh and closed his eyes again. "I'm so tired." He groans softly.

Spinel's gem slowly started to glow. She floats up into the air and started to form back. She stepped onto the floor letting out a soft sigh. Her form seemed to be a little brighter and happier looking than before. She rubbed one of her eyes looking down at her other hand seeing that it was being held by Steven. She blushed lightly. "Hey." She spoke softly poking his face with her other finger.

Steven let out a small grunt clenching his eyes shut trying not to wake up. He looked over to see who was poking him. He stared at the Gem confused for a moment. "... Spinel?"

Spinel smiled softly waving her hand. "Hi." She spoke nervously.

"Wow, you look amazing." Steven pushed himself to sit up again. "You even have a star on your shirt now. That's cool."

"Really? You think I look amazing?" Spinel looked down at herself.

"I do, this is you. The you that came into this life as the perfect Gem you are." Steven smiled softly moving to the edge of the bed.

"What's wrong with your arm?" Spinel asked.

Steven looked at his wrapped arm. "It's so I can't move it around. The injury needs to be stationary so that it can heal."
