This Really Happened?

The Warp Pad lights up and Steven looked over. "That must be my clean mattress."

"STEVEN?!" It was Peridot that came running into the bedroom with Bismuth and Lapis right behind her.

"Oh, hey guys." Steven waved at them.

"We heard about what happened. You okay?" Lapis asked walking over to his side.

"Yeah, I'm okay. There really isn't anything wrong with me at this moment, but only time will tell." Steven smiled softly.

"You shouldn't be so relaxed about this, Pink Diamond has broken before." Peridot stated.

"She has?!" Connie looked surprised.

"Oh yea, it was around the time White Diamond started to become the true leader of Homeworld, taking command of everything barely letting Yellow and Blue do anything." Peridot clears her throat. "Allow me to take this time to tell you the first breaking of the Diamonds." She was about to start then Amethyst bumped into her with the front end of the new mattress.

"Whoops, sorry Peri. Didn't see you there." Amethyst laughs lightly.

"Highly unlikely! You do that all the time to me when you're carrying something!" Peridot growls lightly.

Garnet takes the mattress and sets it down while Pearl puts the clean sheets on. "Peridot, I wouldn't mind hearing this story of yours." Garnet sat down on the floor.

"Oh, is it story time?" Pearl finished making the bed.

"Yes! I was just about to tell Steven here about the first breaking of the Diamonds." Peridot smiled. "You wouldn't know this since you weren't Pink Diamonds Pearl yet, so you'll enjoy this."

Pearl frowns softly but sat down on the bed.

Steven crawls into his newly made bed laughing lightly at Pearl's reaction. "Sorry, but Steven needs to be comfy." He smiled.

"ANYWAY. If you clods will shut it now. This is how it all started." Peridot clears her throat again.

Storytime With Peridot

On Homeworld in the catacombs where the Kindergarten was slowly coming to an end. Pink Diamond was looking around the place with Yellow and Blue.

"This place is nearing its end and soon we will go out and colonize the universe. Isn't it exciting Pink?" Blue smiled at the smaller Diamond.

"I can't wait to have my own!" Pink smiled jumping around.

"Be careful! This place is falling apart." Yellow sighs touching the walls and it crumbles a bit.

"I think it's amazing that our beautiful world is able to provide so much and thrive." Blue walked along behind Pink watching her jump, skip and hop everywhere.

Pink looked over her shoulder hearing rumbling. "Oh, one is coming out!" The wall did glow in the shape of a body.

Yellow walked over. "That will make 34 defective. This one is arriving out of schedule. Blue, get ready to destroy it if it's yours."

Blue frowns. "Oh I do hate this part. It makes me sad that I have to destroy my beautiful gems."

Pink smiled softly seeing the gem come out of the wall. It was greenish-blue with two gems merged together.

"Oh, it's merged!" Yellow held out her hand to zap the gem.

The defective gem gasps and grabbed Pink holding her in front of them.

Pink looked surprised but then yelled out in pain when she was shocked by Yellow.

Blue pushed Yellows' arm down. "Careful!!"

The gem yelps lightly and tried to run away.

Pink dropped to her knees holding herself.

Yellow growls out and aimed for the gem finally destroying its form. "What an evil defection!" She walked over to the merged gem and picked it up.

Pink stood up groaning softly holding her stomach. "I don't feel so well...."

Blue knelt down beside her. "Are you okay?" She asked. She held Pink's hand and gasps softly seeing the diamond on her stomach glowing dimly with small cracks through it. "Yellow!"

Yellow walked back over. "What?" She looked down and became shocked at what was happening. "Oh no... What do we do?!"

"How should I know? White told us not to bring her along." Blue frowns.

"We have to tell her." Yellow shakes her head. "Even if we are going to get in trouble she'll know what to do." She started to walk to White's ship.

Pink slowly followed with the aid of Blue. She wobbled and fell to her knee a few times before they made it all the way there.

White was standing there with a smile on her face. "Well, what do we have here? Little Star Light you're hurt."

"It's my fault, I take full responsibility for this. I brought her along and I was the one that accidentally hit her with my destabilizing shot." Yellow spoke up.

"Let's not start playing the blame game here. All of you are responsible for this situation. Now let's resolve this." White looked down at Pink. "You'll have to reform into a new body."

"Reform? Is that... Going to hurt?" Pink looked a little scared.

"Of course not, this will give you the opportunity to make yourself better. To make it so that you can be perfect. In fact, why don't the two of you join her in this process to make it easier. No more mistakes, no more defaults, no more imperfections." White smiled.

Yellow took a step back looking at Blue. They both nod at each other holding Pink's hands. "I think that this will be a lesson learned for us all to reform into greater beings." Yellow looked up at White.

"I will do it for you." Blue smiled softly.

Pink looked up at the two of them smiling. "Whoever comes back first has to take care of the other two!" She wanted to make a game out of it.

White held out her hand extending a finger. "Well then, this will be an interesting moment. I look forward to seeing your perfections when you return."

The End

Peridot made a zapping sound while pointing at the floor. "ZAP! POOF! Yellow, Blue, and Pink were deformed. And that was the first time ever recorded in history that reforming occurred."

Bismuth shakes her head. "Man... To think that White was so desperate to have things that perfect that she told her fellow Diamonds that they were wrong."

"It's not that they were wrong on her eyes, it's the fact that they were being themselves. They were perfect in their own eyes but not hers." Steven frowns putting a hand over his gem.

"At least that lifetime is over. There doesn't have to be anymore deforming just cause of mistakes." Pearl smiled placing a hand on Steven's shoulder to comfort him.

"Yeah, cool story and all. But how come you know so much about it Peri?" Amethyst asked.

"Oh, that's easy to answer. Yellow Diamond wrote about it since she was the first to reform. It took the other two at least your earth standard month to come back out and be amazing." Peridot smiled. "I just so happen to come across her writings while doing some research of my own."

"So you were snooping." Amethyst laughs making Peridot blush lightly.

"Well I'm for one am glad to hear this story, it makes things so much clearer that Steven will be okay. His gem, or should I say diamond, just has to reform." Connie smiled.

Steven yawns softly laying down on his back. He quickly falls asleep.

"Come on, let's get out of here so Steven can get some rest." Garnet stood up getting everyone out of the room except Connie. "Watch over him for us." She smiled

Connie nods her head and sat down on the floor beside Steven's bed watching him sleep.
