Steven runs down the stairs with his supernatural speed thanks to the aid of his gem. He stepped in front of Lars holding out his arms. "Wait!"

Lars flinched at the sudden appearance of his friend in front of him. "AH! Don't do that man!"

"Sorry." Steven frowns putting his arms down. "But why did you unfuse from me? Did Jasper set you off that bad?"

Lars shrugged looking at the ground. "A little, I just get this weird feeling in the whole room that I'm... Unwanted."

"What?! Don't be silly, the gems like you. Pearl seemed to really like our form. And Garnet was so eager to teach you some stuff. And if you want to get on Amethyst's good side all you have to do is make her some food." Steven chuckled at the last part.

Lars looked up at Steven slowly knowing that he was just trying to make things better. "Okay, okay, chill out. You don't have to pummel me with nonsense, I get the gist of things here."

"So what's the plan for Stars then? When will he see the light of day again?" Steven asked thinking that the new fusion would never come back, just like Steg.

Lars rubbed the back of his head. "I'll make up some plans for a schedule that we can do. I can't just ditch the bakery, even if Blue Lace is comfortable alone. She won't be able to handle it completely alone."

"Right, even if Little Homeschool is made for gems to find a new thing to do here they still need help from a human to do them. Trust me, I know." Steven laughs nervously thinking about all the destruction that happened when he tried to change up some of the gems' jobs. "The schedule is a good idea. I have to make sure that I'm not busy, the gems need to be available as well. It's all coming together."

Lars pulled his phone out of his pocket and looked at it. He raised an eyebrow looking back up at Steven. "How about coming with me to meet some new friends."

"New friends?" Steven raised his eyebrow as well.

"Yeah, a few weeks ago these guys came into the bakery and we hit it off. We hang out whenever everyone isn't busy." Lars puts his phone back into his pocket before walking off. "Come on."

"I thought you wanted to go back to the shop?" Steven followed behind with his curious question.

"I just said that so I could get out of the room. If it makes you feel better I'll call the shop and tell Blue Lace to close up early." Lars reached for his phone again.

"I'm not upset that you lied or anything, I'm just a little... Nervous." Steven puts his hands into his pocket.

"How can you, the man of infinite friends, the guy that can make a friend in a split second, be nervous?" Lars looked over with a smirk.

"I don't know, the fact that they're human. They're human, right?" Steven looked up with a questionable look on his face.

"Yes, they're human." Lars laughs lightly calling his bakery to close it down for the day. He leads Steven into town to a neighborhood that he has never been too.

Steven looked around as they walked. "I don't think I've been to this side of town before."

"Probably not, but at least you'll blend in nicely with these guys." Lars chuckled.

"What do you mean by that?" Steven asked.

"Your clothes. See my new friends like the gothic-emo style. They wear black colored clothing with some sort of color mixed in. And they have tears in their pants, shirt, or whatever accessories they are wearing." Lars explained.

Steven looked down at himself. He could understand now what Lars meant by blend in. His new pink jacket hasn't come in the mail yet so he had only his black one that he ordered for Sadie Killer and the Suspects. His shirt was indeed black with a single blue star in the center. And on top of that, he still had tears in his clothing from when he fell down the cliffside mixed with a little blood. "Yeah, I get now."
