“I'm coming.” I reluctantly got out of bed and went to open my door. I was still very sleepy.
“Jeez! You look bad in the morning.” Hayden said.
“Scumbag, nobody asked you to come disturbing my sleep so early.” I replied.
“So early? Do you know what the time is?” I stared at him blankly. “It's 10:15 duduhead.”
“Yay. Big deal.” I said sarcastically and closed my door before walking to my bed again. He walked in. “Get out of my room Hayden.” I said and laid on my bed.
“What time did you sleep last night?” He asked.
“I don't know Hayden. Now leave me alone.”
“But you left us in the parlor to come sleep.”
“Why all these questions early in the morning? I left you guys alone so I could sleep but when I got upstairs, I realized how much I missed my mum so I was checking all our pictures on my laptop.” I lied.
He nodded and looked at the laptop. Luckily, I quickly saw the USB near the laptop and before he could notice it, I jumped on him. He groaned in pain at the unexpected force that pulled him to the ground.
“Why the fuck did you do that?!” He asked angrily.
I held his face. “You're handsome.” I said.
He frowned. “I know. Is that why you jumped on me?”
“Uhm... Yes.” I smiled.
“Wait, don't tell me you're in the mood...” He smirked.
I rolled my eyes. “You're an idiot. You can never turn me on so get out of my room now.” I said and stood up.
He stood up too. “Really? I can never?”
“Out!” I laughed and pushed him towards the door.
“Let's bet.”
“I'm not interested. Now get out.” I finally pushed him out. I sighed and went to pick up the USB. “Thank God he didn't see it.” I muttered and kept it in my drawer.
I went to have my bath before going downstairs dressed in a black satin gown and black heels. I did two half French braids with my hair and packed the rest up in a bun. I went to the backyard were the couple were busy making breakfast.
“You look beautiful Veda.” Jack said. He was grilling the chicken.
“Thanks Jack.” I smiled and went to meet Gina to help out. “Hey Gina. What you doing?”
“Oh good morning Milla. My sister is coming over with her one year old son so I'm making their favorite!” She squealed.
“Oh-kay? Their favorite is barbeque chicken and dumplings?” I asked.
“Yup.”
“Cool. Let me help out too.” I went to wash my hands and started making the dumplings with her.
“I'm pretty sure my sister will like you once she sees you.”
“I agree. I'm lovable.” I said and she chuckled.
Hayden walked out with a glass of lemonade. “What's going on here? What are we having for breakfast?” He asked.
“Barbeque and dumplings.” I replied.
“Even the name is yummy.” He licked his lips.
“Do you remember that it's your aunt's favorite?” Gina asked smilingly and Jack, Hayden and I looked at her. “I meant my sister, Alexis's favorite.”
