There was a knock on my door and I sat up and adjusted everything that seemed off-place.

“Come in.” I said. The door was pushed open and Hayden came in with a smile.

I looked away and tried to calm myself.

“Hey. I thought I'd come check on you since you didn't come downstairs when we got back.” He said and came closer.

“Yeah. I'm fine.” I faked a smile.

“O-kay. Anyway, I brought you ice cream as I promised. Your favorite.” He stretched out a white polythene bag.

“Oh! Thanks.” I collected it.

“Wow! You don't sound excited at all
I know how you are when you see chocolate ice cream.” He said.

“I guess people can be unpredictable at times. Those that you think would never lie to you can be lying to your face right now.” I replied. He frowned. “I'll just eat my ice cream. Thanks. Please leave now.”

He stared at me for a while before nodding and walking out of my room, closing the door softly behind me. Bloody lair.

Right now, the only thing i felt towards him was pure hatred. We are partners for God's sake. If he didn't want me to know his parents then why did he bring me to his house and lie to me. In the first place, why didn't he want me to know his parents?

I licked my ice cream and sighed,  picking up my phone. I was leaving his house tomorrow and nothing will stop me.

The next day, I was ready with all my luggage at 7:30a.m. I wore a blue sports bra and Blue Jeans with my sandals. No black today. Pulling my bag behind me, I went downstairs. I decided to drop a note on the counter since no one was awake yet.

Guys, it's Camilla. I left already. I have something very important to do so I can't wait to tell. Don't worry about me though. I'll be fine. Bye.

I placed it on the table and walked out of the house. Riding my bike, I drove to the airport. I had booked my flight yesterday when I made up my mind to leave Hayden's house. Immediately I got there, I heard my plane being called. I ran to check in for my flight. Placing my bag on the conveyor belt, I passed through the airport security gates to the departure hall.

I found my boarding gate and went to board my plane. It was a plane going to India.

I started my 7,379 kilometers journey to India. It was an eight hours flight. I sat next to an old woman on the plane.

“Hey, I'm Marian Lopez.” She introduced herself. She was really old with white hairs and a wrinkled face and body so it was no use lying to her about my name.

“Camilla.” I replied and shook her outstretched hand.

She smiled. “I must admit, you look beautiful.”

“Oh. Thanks.” I smiled back.

“So, why are you going to India?” She asked. Now, I have to lie.

Just for tourism. You?

I'm going for treatment.”

“Oh. I'm so sorry.”

“It's okay dear. It's just cancer.”
