I pushed the clothes apart and clearly saw the bomb hidden behind them. I checked the timer. One minute remaining. I looked around for how to disconnect it but due to tension, I wasn't sure which wire to cut.

Fifty seconds...

I ran to the middle of the store. “Everybody out! Exist the premises right now!” I shouted.

Forty five seconds...

But why?” A woman asked.

“There's a bomb in here about to explode. Get out now!” I shouted.

Thirty nine seconds...

Everyone started rushing out. But some people were still upstairs and might not have heard.

I pushed through the panicking crowd and ran to the counter. There was a mic there.

Twenty-six seconds...

Everyone wetin this building should vacate it right now! There is a bomb about to explode! Run for your lives!” I shouted into the mic.

Ten....

I began running towards the existence until I remembered Xena. What if she was too engrossed in whatever she was wearing and she didn't pay attention.

Eight...

I ran back towards the dressing room. When I got there, Xena was stuck in a dress.

Five...

What the hell happened?I asked. Then instead of waiting for her reply, I pulled her outside. The door was already jam-packed so I pulled her upstairs.

Three...

Why are we going upstairs? We should be heading towards the door!” She exclaimed.

“Shut up!” I screamed in frustration.

One...

I quickly pushed her out the window. A deafening roar ripped through the building like a boom of thunder. Glass and wood and metal exploded all around me, sending deadly shards in every direction. The effect had pushed me to the floor. Screaming for help, I tried to get up only to find that my only means of escape has been blocked.

I crawled weakly towards the door. My sari got stuck in some cases and I tried to pull it out only to tear it. I knew I might die but at least I saw my second family. I tried to open the door that had been shut due to the emergency but I was too weak to. And that was my only way out now since the window has been blocked by woods.

Tears spilled from my eyes. I tried effortlessly to evade the flaming instruments that collapsed around. Again I screamed, this time from the pain stabbing my shoulder and side. Something hard cracked over my skull, and a red-hot shower of pain detonated through my head.

Then all went black.

***

My eyelids fluttered open and I groaned at the pain coming from my head.

“You have to rest,” A familiar voice, one I could recognize anywhere anytime and one that made my heart stop beating and start racing at the same time, said.

I ignored what was said and instead pushed myself up, but I couldn't. The pain from my head and side ripped through my body and a hand held me.

Our eyes connected again after so long. So was what happened when I saw my Hayden again. There I was, in his arms, staring into his beautiful green eyes, the eyes I've missed so much and one hand on his chest, I noticed his heart racing. Fire burnt in his eyes. His hair danced around due to the air and I felt his breathe on my face. His lips parted slightly and so did mine. It was like he controlled my every movement. I wanted him. I needed him. And no matter how hard I tried to hide it, I loved him.
