His shocked expression soon changed into a naughty one but I had to pull away quicker than I wanted to because of the situation at hand.

"Sorry guys! I think we're being followed," Ashton said. He look at the rare mirror by his left side but a straight bullet smashed it into pieces. "Okay! We are being followed!" He shouted.

"Oh no! Not again! I was really enjoying the mood," Hayden muttered.

"I wonder why you're still conscious after losing so much blood," I said.

"I take a lot of fruits and I can't just faint on you," He said, taking my hands in his.

I removed them and looked at Ashton who was driving roughly to avoid the bullets.

"Ashton, take bends and try not to drive straight. Just for me to finish with him," I said.

"Got it!" He shouted.

"Okay..." I tied my hair up and proceeded to cleaning Hayden's wounds and bandaging them.

"Thanks Camy... I really wish.... I could... I could help..."

"Just rest for now. Ashton and I will handle them," I assured him, placing my hand on his head gently and watched him drift into an unconscious state. "Okay Ash, give me a gun!"

"Red bag!" He shouted, turning the wheels swiftly and making me fall on Hayden again. This time, our lips didn't touch and he laying faint. "Sorry!"

"No problem,"I took the gun from the bag and opened the door of the van. The wind blew at my face.

"What the fuck are you doing?! You could fall!" Ashton shouted.

"I'll be fine," I said, holding on to the door's handle and straining my neck out. I shot at the black car following us but I missed unfortunately.

Getting an hint that someone was shooting back at them, they directed their bullets in my direction and I hid inside.

I tried again and this time it hit the windshield but it didn't quite affect them much. As I aimed for their front tyre, one of them shot at me hand. I screamed and dressed back inside, closing my eyes as the pain affected me.

"Sorry. I couldn't dodge the bullet," Ashton apologized.

"No problem," I replied. I shook the hand, making blood stain the floor. Then, I picked up the gun, loaded it with bullet and moved close to the door. "Cover me," I said.

He nodded and picked a gun. He shot at them and that managed to divert their attention. I aimed for their tyre and consequently, their car turned and they obviously found it difficult to control the steering wheel anymore.

But just in case, I shot the back tyre as well like three times to ensure it was flat. Before shutting the door and dressing in.

"Where should I drive to?" Ashton asked.

"Hayden's house," I said. I dropped the gun and dressed the gun wound on my arm before shutting down on Hayden's chest.
.
.
"Guys! Wake up!" Ashton shouted. It felt like he was shouting in my ears directly. I didn't want to get up because although my pillow was harder than a rock and moving up and down, I loved it and the hands that was on my back holding me down to it as if protecting me from the dangers of the world.

And then there's Satan's first child who happened to be my friend, making my beauty rest full of nightmares.

"Wake up!" He shouted once again and I couldn't ignore it this time. I was sure Hayden couldn't either that was why he groaned softly and pushed his hand to my neck.

"Camilla?" He called softly.

"It's me. Get your hands off," I replied, pushing his hand away and sitting up straight.

"I'm sorry," He replied. He tried to get up so Ashton and I helped him out. His hand brushed my fresh wound and he looked at me. "How did you get injured?" He asked.

"Oh it's..."

"She got shot while shooting at Ian's men but I must admit, Camilla is a skilled shooter," Ashton said.

I was gonna slap his mouth for telling Hayden how I got the injury but when he complimented me, I realised the mouth was still very useful.

"I'll check it when we get inside," He said.

"I'm fine Doc. Really," I replied.

He rolled his eyes. "I'm just looking out for you. Is there something wrong in that?" He asked.

"Of course not! But take care of yourself first before prying into other people's businesses," I replied.

"Prying into other people's businesses? If you were such a good shooter, you should have dodged the bullet," He said.

"I wish I can hit your stomach right now, but I'm not that wicked. You're just a stupid scumbag," I said.

"Of course! And you are so intelligent aren't you?"

"You were brutally beaten by a woman and you still want to talk to me about intelligence?"

"I just can't fight a girl. It doesn't make any sense but why am I explaining this to you?"

"Your brain is the same as a pile of pumpkin guts. Completely useless."

"If we weren't partners, heaven knows I would have stabbed you by now."

I laughed dryly. "If only you know how much I wish to slice your throat," I said.

Ashton laughed. "You two are crazy people," He said.

We entered the house and helped Hayden to his room. He laid on his bed and I excused myself. I went to the room I was given and took out my phone from my pocket. It lit up and a new message popped up on the screen.

Ian
Wow! You seem to enjoy disobeying me. I told you to give me the code and you gave me a fake.

Ian
Then, you went ahead to the FBI against my order and you saw what happened there. I'm sure you've found out who informed me of your arrival at America.

Ian
Answer me!

Ian
Don't you dare ignore my messages. You should know what I'm capable of by now

I rushed to Hayden's room and I found him leaning against the wall, peeping out through the window.

"Ian has messaged you right?" He asked, without even turning to see who had entered or why.

"How did you know I entered and that too?" I asked, stopping by the bed.

"You're the only one I know who enters anyone's room without knocking," He said. He made it look like I was obviously the only one who does that in the entire world. He turned around and smirked at me.

"I really feel like slapping that smirk off your face," I said.

He put on a smug smile. "You can try babe," He said.

"But I'm not here for that. Plus, you should be resting," I replied.

"I was. But then I got Ian's message and it made me realize how little time we had to capture him," He said.

"Yeah. I got the message too," I sighed.

"You know who told him we are here?" He asked.

I nodded. "I do. And it's quite devastating," I said and folded my hands to stop the chills I was feeling.

"Who is it?" He asked, eagerness printed on his handsome face.

"Ravi," I answered.
