*4 Years Later*

Lyric's POV

"Morgan!" I cheered, picking up the 3-year-old little girl. She laughed as I covered her face in kisses.

"Mimi no!" Morgan squealed. The toddler's brown eyes twinkled with delight.

"Morgan, mama's waiting in the car. Come on sweetie. Lyric has gotta get dressed for her date." Tony called, walking into the office.

"Tony, I can reschedule if you need me to watch her. It's no problem." I said, situating Morgan on my hip.

"Go on your date Lyric. Clint and Laura can watch her." Tony declined, taking his daughter from me.

"See you later princess." I smiled at Morgan, holding out my fist. She tapped her tiny knuckles against mine before being carried to the door.

"Tony?" I asked. He looked at me expectantly.

"Do you know where he's taking me tonight? He won't tell." I asked sheepishly. Tony just smirked and winked at me.

"Wear something nice!" He called leaving my office. I groaned, dragging my feet out of the office. I walked up to my room where Wanda sat on my bed.

"About time you got here! You said you wanted my help getting ready for your date like 30 minutes ago." She teased.

"Sorry, I was calling to confirm some meeting and I was with Morgan for a little bit." I apologized.

"Get in the shower. I picked out a red polka-dot dress that you'll love." Wanda instructed.

*Later*

I looked in the mirror as Wanda straightened my last section of hair.

"Remind me again why I'm going all out for this date? I don't even know where I'm going." I laughed.

"It's because you don't know where you're going why we're going all out. Let me grab my golden choker for you." Wanda explained. She ran off and I brushed my hair behind my ears. So much changed yet I'm still the same...I guess. I mean my hair grew out to the middle of my back and face lost more baby fat that had still lingered. I looked grown-up.

"Ok, this little thing was hiding from me but I finally got it." Wanda sighed dramatically, coming back into the room. I snickered as she pinned the choker around my neck.

"Lyric, you look gorgeous." She gushed. I smiled and did a little twirl.

"I'm excited. It's been a while since we've done anything so surprising." I giggled. My phone vibrated and I saw the text.

Outside

"He's here," I said. Wanda squealed and hugged me.

"Don't forget to tell me where he took you after the date!" She demanded. I laughed and made my way outside. I saw him leaning against a white car, holding a bouquet of flowers. He wore a white long sleeve button up and black slacks.

"Hi." I smiled, walking up to him. He smiled back and pulled me into his arms, his lips a breath away from my own.

"Hey, beautiful." He whispered before connecting our lips. I squealed slightly when I was picked up off the ground.

"Jack!" I giggled. When I felt the earth connect with my feet, I looked back up at him and those unbelievable blue eyes.

"Come on. I got something special planned for us." He urged.

*Even Later*

"That chicken alfredo was delicious." I raved, swinging my hand with Jack's as we walked in the park.

"I'm surprised you even noticed with all the glances you were making at my steak." Jack snickered. I shoved him lightly, in which he just pulled me even closer under his arm.

"Where are we even walking to?" I asked.

"You ask a lot of questions, nosey. If you must know, we're here." We stopped walking and I looked at all the tiny lanterns, helping the stars light up the dark night.

"Am I missing an anniversary or something?" I laughed. Jack joined in, cupping my face in his hands.

"Not at all, darling." He said. Music started playing in the background.

"Is that your music?" I frowned.

"Just dance with me." Jack and I swayed along the grass to the soft beat of the song.

Every long lost dream led me to where you are
And others who broke my heart they were like northern stars
Pointing me on my way into your loving arms

"You're amazing, you know that right?" Jack stated.

"You're sweet," I replied.

"I can't believe I fell for you even after you yelled at me in the pouring rain." I laughed, the memory coming back to me.

"Yeah, I was an asshole for that." I agreed.

"No, you were just hurt and I never want you to be hurt like that ever again. I'd never want to hurt you like that." Jack vowed.

"Jack, I know you wouldn't." He took a deep breath, dropping to one knee, holding my hand in his own. I kicked myself for not realizing what this was sooner.

"Please, I never imagined myself settling down for one girl, but you make me wanna be that kind of guy. Be my everyday girl and marry me?" Jack asked, looking at me with those soft puppy eyes.

"Yes, oh my god, yes!" I squealed tackling him in a hug. Jack and I fell to the grass, but that didn't stop me from attacking his lips with my own. I smiled into the kiss, feeling myself glow. I can't believe I just got engaged!

*Next Day*

Peter's POV

I walked into the tower, dropping my bags in the living area. The clock read 9 o'clock am but the tower was unusually empty.

"Hello?" I called. No answer. I frowned and moved my bags to the guest room. Where was everyone?

"Miss Rogers-Barnes has just walked into the building on the main floor," FRIDAY announced.

"They're here!" I heard Wanda yell. Footsteps raced to the entrance of the living area entrance and I followed curiously. I saw everyone crowding around the elevator. Before I could get a word out, the door opened and Wanda pulled Lyric by her hand.

"What happened?" She asked excitedly. Lyric smiled sheepishly, holding up her left hand.

"I think you all know what happened." She smiled. Natasha and Wanda fawned over her and I caught a glimpse of a sparkling diamond on her ring finger.

She was engaged.

I blinked slowly, confusion taking over.

"Pete!" A voice called. I felt little arms latch around my legs. I looked down to see Morgan smiling at me. Evidently, she caught everyone else's attention.

"Peter, welcome back." Lyric's shocked voice said. I nodded to her, picking up Morgan.

"Congrats on your engagement," I replied. An awkward silence fell over the room.

"Lyric, come, we have to find Pepper so you can tell us everything," Wanda demanded, pulling Lyric past me, down the hall. Our eyes momentarily met and as soon as it came, emotion in her eyes flashed and left.

"Pete, come play tea party with me?" Morgan asked. I tore my eyes away from where Lyric once was and smiled at Morgan.

"Yeah kiddo, no problem." I agreed.
