Bucky's POV
"Careful Steve! Don't wake her up." I whispered as we all crept into Lyric's room. She was sprawled across the bed, sleeping mask over her eyes, and her bonnet falling off of her head. She wore these ridiculous Spider-Man pajamas that Peter got as a joke a few months earlier. At this, he snickered behind me.
"Ok guys on the count of three. 1...2...3!" Steve counted.
"Happy birthday!" Everyone cheered. Lyric jumped, flinging the mask off of her face.
"You guys are so extra. You couldn't even let the sun properly wake up." She yawned, voice scratchy and annoyed, but her face gave away how happy she was.
"The sun rose like 4 hours ago. It's 10:30." Wanda jumped on the bed next to Lyric and pulled her into a hug. "Ah! One more year until you're legal! It seems like just yesterday you were running around here on a sugar rush." Everyone laughed as Lyric looked away bashfully.
"Thank you guys, really, but do you mind if I get a quick minute?" She asked.
"Sure, Darlin. There's breakfast when you're ready." Steve chuckled. We all filed out of the room, but not before I watched Lyric wipe her eyes.
"Hey, you ok Doll?" I asked.
"Yeah, just a...I'm really thankful for you guys." She sniffled. I smiled and nodded before closing her door.
Lyric's POV
My shoulders shook from the sobs I desperately tried to fight back. I wiped my eyes, but the tears kept coming.
Something is very wrong.
I put on a tan long sleeve shirt and black jeans. I carefully brushed my curls as the tears fell down my face. Things had to go on like business as usual. I couldn't let the team know. Every night for the past month, I've had the same dream about the purple alien, but last night was the worst.

"Papa, where did Dad go?" I muttered, looking around the destroyed land.
"Oh my god," Papa muttered. A ship suddenly landed and we all prepared to fight again. It wasn't until Uncle Tony and a blue alien emerged, I let out a sigh of relief. Finally, I could see Peter again.
Only Peter didn't exit the ship and Uncle Tony refused to look anywhere but at his hand.
"Uncle Tony, where's Peter?" I asked slowly, as I ran towards him. He wouldn't look at me. Dear God, why wouldn't he look at me?!
"Uncle Tony..." I whimpered, tears starting to fill my eyes from tears. He still stayed silent.
"Tony!" I yelled. The whole world stood silent as mine fell apart.
"I'm sorry." He stuttered showing me a container of ashes. My eyes went wide and the tears slipped out.
"He did it...he really did it," Papa mumbled from behind me, sitting at the pile of ashes in front of him. I couldn't get my mind to stop reeling.
"Peter!" I screeched falling to my knees.

I shook my head and wiped my eyes. I couldn't be sad, I shouldn't be sad. Today I am 17. I am 17 and I am happy. I made my way up to the kitchen, forcing a smile on my face. When I got to the living area, everyone was glued around the TV.
"Um, is everything okay?" I asked. When I received no answer, I glanced at the TV and my face fell.
There was some weird circular alien ship flying around. It kind of looked like a ring.
