Lyric's POV

"Another mission executed perfectly!" Wanda cheered, clinking her margarita with mine and Nat's. We all laughed before taking a sip.

"Wanda, where'd brother dearest go?" Nat asked.

"Probably took Peter to go and pick up girls again." Wanda scoffed. I laughed and drank more of my margarita.

"So, what's going on between you two?" Wanda asked looking at me. I paused mid-sip and pursed my lips.

"Excuse me?"

"You and Peter? Lyric, we're not blind." Nat laughed.

"We've been hanging out with Ned and Michelle," I answered.

"You also hang out during breaks," Wanda added.

"No way, I didn't know that!" Nat gasped. I scoffed and shoved them both.

"You guys are so wrong! Nothing is going on with me and anyone right now." I announced.

"Well if that's the case, do you mind if I buy you a drink?" A voice asked. I turned to see a man with light brown skin and dark blue eyes.

"I...me?" I squeaked.

"Yeah." The man laughed. I looked to Natasha and Wanda who were watching in amusement.

"She'd love another margarita." Wanda eventually answered for me. The man smiled and signaled the bartender. He moved to the other side of Nat and I pulled both girls to me.

"What the hell?!" I freaked.

"Lyric, it's a drink, not a promise ring," Nat said.

"Yeah, but I..." Wanda looked closer at me and gasped.

"OMG! Lyric, if this is about Jack, I'm sor-"

"No! Sienna and I have had countless therapy sessions and I have accepted that Jack is a part of me now. He's just another layer to who I am as a person and I'm living with it. I just...it feels weird putting myself out there to date a stranger." I explained cutting her off.

"No one said anything about dating, Lyric. A little flirting or one-night stand never hurt anyone." Nat shrugged. I gulped as the man walked back holding my drink.

"For you." He smiled. I smiled back and moved a stray piece of my straightened hair behind my ear.

"Thanks," I replied.

"We're going to the table over there if you need us, alright Lyric?" Wanda said.

"Yeah, ok." I agreed. Nat and Wanda left me with the man who was practically undressing me with his eyes.

"So, you here undercover for a mission?" He asked. So he knew who I was.

"What gave it away?" I laughed sarcastically.

"I thought to myself, why would my favorite Avenger be over here sitting at the bar instead of on the dance floor?" We both laughed, and I found myself enjoying his company.

Peter's POV

I stood over in the corner of the room with Pietro as he spotted out girls.

"I see two girls, a blonde and brunette, eyeing us. Go or no?" He asked.

"Go for it, Piet." I sighed. Pietro looked at me and frowned.

"What's going on with you man?" He scoffed.

"This just isn't for me."

"Peter you're 23. Hooking up with girls should be your thing."

"It's meaningless sex. I'm not into that." Pietro sighed and grabbed my shoulder.
