*4 Months Later*

Lyric's POV

"Papa has a what?" I frowned.

"Her name is Sharon. He wants you to meet her, Doll." Dad sighed.

"But...I thought Papa liked you?"

"Listen, what Steve and I have is complicated. We've been friends since forever."

"Whatever. Do we like this Sharon?"

"Steve does so I guess we do too." I gasped and nudged him.

"Dad, you don't like Papa's girlfriend!" I stated.

"Don't go around spreading that," Dad warned.

"Well if you don't like her, neither do I."

"Stop that. You have to."

"For why? Need I remind you I turned 18 last week."

"That means nothing because you're still his little girl. Steve's gonna want you to like her."

"What if I genuinely don't like her?"

"We'll talk about it if it happens." Dad left my room and I spun around to face my mirror. Dinner with some female I may not even like? Not my ideal Friday night. I grabbed my flat iron and went to straighten my hair. When that was complete, I put on a white turtleneck and black skirt with white lines in a checkered pattern.

"Doll, Steve and I are leaving now, are you ready?" Dad called from my door.

"No, just go without me. Text the address and I'll meet you there. Shirley Temple to start please!" I replied. I rummaged through my closet looking for my black thigh-high boots when a knock came from my door.

"Enter!" Peter came in wearing a Stark Industries sweater and smiled at me.

"Do we have a date I'm forgetting about?" He teased. I grinned and placed a quick kiss on his cheek.

"Nope. I'm meeting Papa's girlfriend tonight." I answered.

"Wait, your dads aren't together?"

"Apparently not!"

"Wow, that's a shocker. Anyway, you look beautiful. I wish I could join you, but I'm swamped with a deadline coming up. Mr. Stark needs new designs for his repulsors soon."

"That's alright. We can hang out later, yeah?"

"Definitely." Peter kissed me before running out of the room. I put on my boots and grabbed my matte brown lipstick, mascara, and eyeliner. Finally, I was ready and went down to my car. I looked to find the address and put it into my GPS. The drive was fairly short. I pulled into the parking lot and walked up to the front desk.

"Hi, I'm looking for Rogers, party of four?" I smiled.

"Right this way Miss." I saw Papa, dad, and a woman with blond hair sat at a round table. I joined them, my "polite" smile plastered on my face.

"Hi, sorry I'm late. I couldn't find my boots." I chuckled. Papa kissed my cheek as I sat next to him.

"You look beautiful darlin." He smiled. I looked over at the woman and outstretched my hand.

"I don't believe we've met. I'm Lyric." I smiled. She took my hand and shook it.

"Agent Sharon Carter. It's nice to meet you." She smiled back.

"Agent? You work for the FBI?" I asked.

"CIA, though I used to work for SHIELD."

"Interesting." Dinner went on with the occasional small talk. Dad and I were bored out of our minds while Sharon and Papa did most of the talking. Though Dad and I weren't verbally talking, our text conversation was active under the table.
